It’s clear he’s been through a lot — he has scars on his face — but he was still so sweet and full of love. His tail never stopped wagging the entire time he was out! He greeted everyone we passed with a wiggly body and the happiest attitude, and he sat perfectly for treats, taking them so gently. He did great meeting another dog, though slow intros will be important since he may have been in a fight before. He’d likely do best with a submissive friend. I loved him so much and hope he makes it out to heal, love, and keep that tail wagging forever.”

Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! One volunteer shared that Miller was laying calmly in his kennel and was easy to leash. The second he got outside, his butt started wiggling and literally never stopped. He walks great on leash, ignored dogs along the row, and did all his business outside like a champ. He’s treat-motivated, knows how to sit, and takes treats gently. When they got down on his level, he responded with kisses, hugs, and pure happiness. He did wonderful meeting another male dog, just polite sniffs and happy tail wags. Going back inside? More wiggles, happy spins, and walking nicely right back to his kennel. His notes sum him up perfectly: “wiggly body, tappy toes.” Miller isn’t wild or overwhelming. He’s young, happy, affectionate, and just wants to be included. He’s the type of dog people go back to visit twice because he makes you feel good just being near him.

She was a tiny bit jumpy but honestly it was cute and it didn’t bother me at all. She had a great temp test and met so many dogs through the fence. I’m confident she’s dog friendly, which I almost never say. She literally tried to lick inside the other dog’s mouth. She’s also hilarious because if I paid attention to another dog she would crawl over my knee and sit right in front of me like she was saying hey don’t forget about me. She’s just awesome.”

Meet Ripley 💙 When we rescued Ripley from the shelter (then known as White Shoes), he was emaciated and heartworm positive. With the help of some incredible fosters, Ripley has gained 20 pounds and completed heartworm treatment. Now he’s healthy, happy, and so ready for a forever family of his own. Ripley is around 2 years old and about 56 lbs. He’s the kind of dog that feels like the built-in big brother of the family. He’s perfectly content babysitting the house, hanging out for movie nights, or just being near his people. He’s definitely a Velcro pup, but also appreciates his own bed and downtime. Every once in a while, he’ll break out into the silliest little moves that remind you what pure joy looks like. He’s truly the lottery jackpot of good boys. Ripley is incredibly sweet and friendly with everyone he meets. He’s playful, goofy, and full of love, and he deserves a family who will adore him as much as he’ll adore them.
