Story

We found Rocky wandering around the side of the road about a mile away from our house last summer, brought him to a local shelter and then adopted him. We don't know much about Rocky's history before us, but we had him checked out at the veterinarian and he was in good health. We also had him immediately neutered. He is house trained and is respectful of our human belongings (he doesn't steal shoes or chew on furniture). He loves playing with his toys and is a snuggler - he likes nothing more than hanging on the couch with us. He gets along great with our two teen-age children and loves when their friends come over. He walks well on a leash and listens to commands well. He will come with a crate, a couple of beds, all of his toys and any food that we have left over.

Scrunchie is a good girl. She is very affectionate and playful. Scrunch will sit on command for a treat, adores peanut butter and walks well on a leash. Scrunch is is still abit confused right now being left here at the shelter but coming out of her shell and becoming happier with each passing day. She was surrendered when she and the resident dog stopped getting along. When Scrunch was a puppy, all was well but a year later is when the issues started with being possessive over food/treats/toys and because of this she needs a home without other dogs. At just over a year old, Scrunchie still plays like a puppy - it can a bit rough and tumble so she would do best in a home with Kids 12+ where she wouldn't accidentally knock them over. She does not mind cats once she knows they are there. Scrunch is about 1 - 2 years old and 50 pounds. Please help our girl Scrunch find the loving home she deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Meet special needs dog Goose! This adorable and full of personality American bully pup came to us from a shelter where she was found with some loss of use of her hind legs. Goose has seen a neurologist, a surgeon and is currently in physical therapy twice a week. Her leg issues are a bit of a mystery as she can wag her tail and is able to get herself up to a standing position. She is a diaper baby as she has some incontinence. Goose is happy popping wheelies in her wheelchair and playing with other dogs. She is a very energetic girl in typical am staff manor.
