Story
Ace came to Barc as an owner surrender He’s heart worm negative!! Staff say he’s a well behaved and sweet boy that is tired of being cramped up in the shelter and wants to be out running around outside! Volunteers say he’s so EXCITED to get outside! They also said he’s full of energy! He can be a little jumpy, but that’s because he’s excited to be outside Volunteer and Shelter Highlights: Heartworm Status Negative Friendly Eager to go outside Easy to leash, A little jumpy LOTS of energy Vocal in kennel Got into tussle with dog in the run next door This spunky guy is full of energy. He wanted out so bad, leashed quickly and pulled to get outside. He immediately did his business. Was a little jumpy when he played and had to re direct a few times. He enjoyed treats and happily accepted some scratches. He was OK with other dogs in the run for the most part but had what seemed like a one off situation with Archie. Not sure what triggered it but they were fine one minute and then cage fighting the next. They cooled off for a bit and Ace walked fine back to his kennel. He is a very good boy, super cute and friendly and oh so handsome. Shelter Notes: 2/06 Ace is very vocal in his kennel. when I approach him he is panting heavily with his tongue out . He is very forward on the leash , placed outside and brpugh back in and after some time outside . He walks with a more loose body once he has spent some time outside. 2/02 Ace has been vocalizing in his kennel . For am cleaning I was able to leash and he was forward on the leash , placed in the runs to potty and went to clean kennel. When coming back to retrieve and leash he kept avoiding the leash  when I attempted to leahs him up. I had to walk in and toss treats down in order to leash him. Walked out on a loose leash , Placed back into his clean kennel. Later on in the pm most of the dogs were barking and I came to his kennel and noticed he was panting heavily with his tongueout and dilated pupils . Appears to be stressed in kennel and is avoidng the leash placing on adopt eval to monitor.   ##1344506##

Story
his little girl, along with her sister Gris, was brought to the shelter by their owner as euthanasia requests. Mona and her sister keeps getting into fights and the owner couldn’t afford to take them to the vet, or get them any training Mona has some old scars as well as a larger new one on her leg, that appears infected and may need a vet visit. Mona has been a super sweet and wiggly girl with shelter staff. She loves treats and walks into her kennel without issues. Volunteers met Mona and she did great meeting other dogs, but she should have slow introductions with an experienced handler to be on the safe side. This girl hasn’t been given a great chance at life. Volunteer Notes So sweet and non stop wiggles! Loves treats and affection! Mona has seen been acting ractive to other dogs that are near her or next to her. She has been fence fighting with the other dogs as well at boarding. Mona is having some issues with other dogs we all believe due to the fact that her and her sibling would fight. Mona suffered some pretty significant wounds on her legs from the fights. Mona just recently had surgery to repair her tndons and the huge wounds in her legs. Mona is HW positive but will start her treatment once the vet clears her to begin since she recently had sugery. We are requiring anyone interested in Mona not have any other pets due to her reactivity. She needs to be an only pet at this time. ##1352926##

Story
Max is a 5 month old American staffy mix. He was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter in rural Texas. He was sent to a vet directly from the shelter where he had his first round of vaccines and immediately broke with parvo within 24 hrs after getting vaccines.  Max spent 3 weeks in isolation until he was no longer infected and was clear from parvo. He is now healthy enough to leave the vets office and begin his new life in a new forever home. He is current on vaccines and flea and tick meds. He is not neutered yet due to him getting parvo and wanted to give his little body more time to heal from his immune system being out of wack.he loves other dogs and his sibling is also with him at the vets office as he also broke with parvo.  Max would love to find a home to call his forever family while he is still young to be able to bond with. Max was surrendered because he is still a puppy and wasn't taught right from wrong and thst its not appropriate to chew things that aren't his. Max would make a great companion to another dog in the home or even children.  ##1492797##

Story
This is Zoie. Zoie is located in Texas and is looking for her forever home. She is very friendly with other dogs. She loves to be with her people. She has jumped the fence to chase her foster dad down lol. Her foster had to stop the car open the door and she jumped right in with a smile on her face. The second picture is after he picked her up. Zoie would love a family that has a fenced in yard and loves to be active. Zoie would enjoy going for car rides and just being with her human as much as possible. Zoie is a good girl who just wants to be loved. We feel Zoie would do great with an adopter who is possibly a truck driver as zoie like to jump in the car when you leave and is always down to go for a ride. She even had to jump the fence to go for a ride with her foster dad to the hospital when her foster momma had to go by ambulance. If you think you are the right family for Zoie please send us a message or you can fill out the application on our website at coalmountain.org to be pre-approved. Zoie is located currently in Texas but transport is available for an approved adopter or foster. The adoption fee includes transport.  ##1454952##

Story
Titus is hoping to find his new furever home! He’s a, soon to be, 3 year old Staffordshire terrier mix who has a heart full of love and a strong personality. He can get a bit anxious out in public and gets really nervous around other dogs. He loves people and giving kisses though. He gets along with our 6 year old niece and does great around other kids. Titus would absolutely benefit from obedience training and someone who can work on his possible aggressive behaviors. Daily exercise keeps him focused. He needs to be the only pet in the house as his anxiety may trigger aggression towards other animals. He really is a loving and a lovable dog. He just doesnt get along with our one dog.
