Story
Osa is just the cutest bear cub of a puppy you'll ever meet. Although nugget-sized now, we expect this floof to grow into a large guardian dog- she would like a big fenced-in yard to patrol as an adult. One of her hobbies now is rolling around in cool grass- she just loves being outside and smelling all the smells! Osa has typical puppy energy, and so would appreciate a pile of toys and/or a dog friend in her adoptive home… or in Osa’s breed’s case, chickens or goats to protect! Osa currently lives with a senior cat in her foster home, and is gentle yet sometimes forgets cat tails are not chew toys, so dog-savvy feline friends are recommended. She will need an owner willing to work with her on potty training as she’s still young. She rides well in the car, because naturally her favorite place to go is wherever you’re going. She has been going to work with her foster parent, as she does not like to be left alone. If you’re looking for a sweetheart of a companion to raise into a loyal family dog, look no further. Osa will be at the PetSmart Fort Collins Adoption event THIS Saturday, 6/14. Put in your application today to meet her there at the event! *Come meet me this Saturday (06.14.25) at the Fort Collins PetSmart from 10am-2pm! This event is first come, first served so we recommend arriving early if you have a specific furry friend in mind! This event operates on a number system so upon arrival make sure to get your number and we will call numbers up in groups! Please note in order to receive a number you need to be an approved adopter within the last 3 months. We will have paper applications available at the event as well as our application via our website! We hope to see you there! :)*

Story
Hi there! I'm Mia and I'm a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd/Mastiff mix which means I'm smart, goofy, and of course a big gal!! I do good with other animals minus chickens (I think they're tasty what can I say). I'm affectionate and would make the best addition to anyone's home. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2352974##

Story
Moose is a 5.5-month-old Anatolian Shepherd with a sensitive and devoted spirit. Gentle, goofy, and incredibly endearing, Moose's foster family says he is one of their all time favortie fosters! Recently Moose's foster dad was not feeling well and Moose quickly snuggled up with his foster dad, giving him some extra love and affection. This big-hearted boy thrives on companionship—whether it’s earning praise from his people, playing with dog friends, or learning new tricks. His friendly, easygoing personality makes him a joy to be around and he’s eager to please and quick learner. Wherever he goes, Moose steals the show with his handsome good looks and easy going nature.  Moose adores people and dogs alike. He’s currently in a foster home with two large adult dogs (one male, one female) who are showing him the ropes. Thanks to his canine mentors and a foster family dedicated to training, Moose is building a solid foundation of good manners and social skills. Already he knows how to sit, come, walk nicely on leash and of course he is crate and house trained. Moose will do best in a home with another dog but could also be ok solo in the right circumstances. Come meet Moose - you’ll have a loyal, loving companion who’s truly one of  a kind. . At ~70 pounds, he’s already well on his way to becoming a very big adult - we guess he might get to 140 pounds. If you would like to adopt, please complete an application  at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $300 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2413175##
