Story
Meet the bestest boy, Bosley (aka Boz, Boz Man, Bozzy). Due to his family’s life circumstances, this beautiful boy is looking for his new family. No fault of his own at all!
This beautiful supermutt hasn’t met a man, woman, or child he doesn't love. He loves scratches, cuddles, and sleeping in his people’s bed. He will, however, sleep on the living room couch without issue if the bed is off limits. He will allow himself to be dress up for treats and/or scratches. He is a smart boy who intuitively knows how to play fetch and gently drop the toy for more play. He will sit for his treats and will, “Sit,” “Stay,” “Eat!” at meal times, but this has to be enforced because he will cheat if you let him. 😊 100% potty trained and will even whine at the door to tell you he has to go. Due to being adopted during COVID lockdown, he is not used to car rides and will whine until he gets a pup cup or knows he’s not going to the vet’s office. He does well on a leash, but will pull in excitement if he hasn’t been out in a while. Reenforcing his leash training with back yard sessions or a formal class will help establish his boundaries within his new family, but in the meantime, a strong person should hold his leash.
Boz is shy around new dogs, but once he knows they’re friendly, he will come out of is shell to play his favorite game – chase! Due to his shyness, we think a home with a submissive dog would be best. Bosley does have herding/guarding instincts that will come out during play with fur friends if he’s not given enough physical activity outside of play. Walks, hikes, dog parks, training activities help with this behavior, so an active family would be perfect for him.
He has expressed an overt interest in cats and chickens, but was easily recalled before it could lead to chase. A cat-free home is best and if chickens or other farm birds are present, never leave him unattended while they’re free range.
Bosley is the sweetest, smartest boy and his family is very grief stricken about this situation. They only want him to have the best family who can meet all his needs so he knows this isn’t his fault.
