Story
Klondike is a 6 year old male Anatolian Shepherd / Hound mix with a heart as big as his gentle presence. This sweet, laid-back boy is the very definition of a “gentle giant” - calm, easygoing, and happiest just being by your side. With his adorable spotted coat and big, joyful smile, Klondike lights up the moment you take him out. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys the simple pleasures of life … quiet strolls, soft pets, and soaking up time with his people. At his age, Klondike deserves so much more than a shelter … he deserves a cozy bed, a peaceful home, and a family to love him as much as he’ll love them. So if you’re looking for a loyal, mellow companion, come meet Klondike and give him the comfort and love he’s been waiting for. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Sunny is a two-year-old, 70-pound purebred Anatolian Shepherd that her owner surrendered to a shelter. They said she was well-socialized and good with other dogs and kids. We can confirm all of that and more. Sunny is a lovely girl, as described by the staff at the boarding facility where she is staying. She was calm and quiet and handled the crazy Adoption Day routine like a champ. She is a super clean dog and doesn’t mess in her kennel. We can’t say enough good about her. If you would like to foster-to-adopt her or help by fostering her, please submit an application. ##2712734##

Story
Max is on the hunt for his one and only, a special someone who will truly appreciate him for the unique and mighty pup he is. He may seem a bit standoffish at first, but once you earn his trust, you'll discover a loyal and loving companion. Max prefers a calm, quiet home where he can be the star of the show. He’s not too fond of other pets, so he’s looking for a home where he can shine all on his own. Max walks beautifully on a leash and loves attention, especially when there’s a treat involved! Sure, he’s got his quirks (who doesn’t?), but in a world full of “normal,” isn’t a little bit of weirdness what makes life fun? If you think you can handle Max’s mighty personality, he might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet him – his trust and love are waiting for you! Story
Daisy is her name. She showed up at my house a year ago in January, she was skinny, hungry could see her ribs and it was freezing outside and such a sweet sweet girl, Could not get her to leave. We rode around with her trying to find owners no such luck. Had to make a decision because she could not be at the house without going to the vet because of other animals. Took her to the vet, well she had heart worms. I decided to go ahead and treat her, did not know at this time that she was microchipped. Went through all the treatments she is good now on heartworm pills, all shots and I reached out for HomeAway to contact owner, never heard anything back, it has been a year. She is 3, fixed and loves to ride anything, she has rode the side by side, tractor, 4 wheeler in trucks cars. Loves to ride. She is a sweet dog. If interested try her and if it doesn’t work out bring her back I am so confident you will love her.

Story
Hi! I was born a stray and this family took me in to keep me from the shelter. I’m adorable and smart and love people but somehow I haven’t met my forever family yet. Unfortunately my foster family can’t keep housing me and I need to find my forever family asap! I’m house trained and crate trained already for you! I’m about 6 months old and super smart. If you don’t mind giving me some time (and treats!) to learn some new commands I’ll be trained up in no time! I already know how to sit and “wait” for my food so I don’t accidentally bonk into you. I do love my food! I also love to run and sniff so I’d love if you had a fenced yard to stay safe while I explore. I’ve been very gentle with kids and like to play with other dogs and cats (but sometimes they don’t like me bouncing around). I can be shy and nervous at first but once I warm up I’m a loving goofball. If you bring me home I know we’ll be bffs!
