Meet Kailey, an 1 year old Aussiedoodle who is just beginning to learn what it means to be someone’s beloved pet. She came to us as part of a large breeder-release group, so everything about home life is brand new to her. Soft beds, kind hands, toys, and quiet routines are all things she is experiencing for the very first time. Kaily is a truly gentle, sweet soul. She is crate trained and often chooses to nap in her crate even when the door is left open, as it gives her a sense of comfort and security. She is quiet, well-mannered, and incredibly easy to live with. Kaily loves other dogs, does well with cats, and has been fine around children. Her calm nature would even make her a nice fit for apartment living. Because of her past, Kaily will need a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to fully come out of her shell. With consistency, kindness, and gentle encouragement, she will continue to blossom into the wonderful companion we know she is becoming. Once she trusts you, her sweetness truly shines. Perogi is an 11-month-old Aussiedoodle who is just starting to learn what it means to be part of a family. As a breeder release, the world is still a brand new place to him — full of unfamiliar sights, sounds, and experiences he’s taking in one gentle step at a time.   He is a soft, sweet soul who may be a little unsure at first, but with patience and kindness, his personality begins to peek through in the most heartwarming ways. Perogi will need a home that understands he’s learning everything from scratch and is willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and confident.   Perogi does wonderfully with other animals and loves children. He would truly thrive in a home with a confident doggy sibling who can help guide him and show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. He is doing well with his leash manners and is crate trained, already making great progress as he adjusts to his new life.   Perogi is the kind of dog whose journey will be just as meaningful for his future family as it is for him. Story
Say “Hi” to Dodger! Dodger is a 3.5 year old (estimated age) Poodle, Schnauzer, Hound Mix. He was adopted from a shelter in Arlington and had come in as a stray so his full background is unknown. He is house trained and has never had an accident in the house. He was given a hedgehog toy at his first vet well check and it is his best friend (takes it everywhere, sleeps with it) and will wave it around to let you know he has to go outside. He is good with children but did show some aggression regarding food towards dogs while we were on vacation. Not sure if it was because he felt uneasy and was away from his normal surroundings. I am unsure if he is good with cats. He will lay his head on your arms and legs and loves to cuddle with my grandsons. He does get anxious and barks when men wear baseball caps. He loves to go for walks and be outside so a yard would be nice for him. No health concerns and is up to date on his vaccines.
