Story
Meet Binx, my 2.5‑year‑old mini poodle with a huge heart, a quirky personality, and a lot of love to give. Binx loves to cuddle, go on walks, take naps, go hiking, and play with his toys. Rehoming him is an incredibly hard decision, but after moving from Utah to Washington six months ago, it’s become clear that my current living situation aren’t meeting his needs. I want him to have a better life than I can offer as a working student living in a studio apartment. Binx grew up being great with dogs, kids, and new people. Since the move, he has developed significant reactivity towards men & other dogs, as well as separation anxiety. I am not sure how he would act around children now.Binx would thrive in a home that has a yard, more room to roam, & possibly other dogs to play with! He is very smart & knows lots of tricks, and is potty trained with a bell. I am confident he will return back to his calm and friendly self once he is in a home that better suits his needs.

Story
Meet Millie! Millie is a very sweet 2 year old mixed breed. She has some poodle in her and we're not sure what else. She has a long body with stocky legs, like a corgi build. She is adorable. Millie is affectionate, cuddly, and very silly. She loves being next to her human and going on walks. She is a good balance of playful and mellow, happy to run around the yard with you but also happy to be a couch potato. She really enjoys mental enrichment toys and seems to be food motivated. She is social with people and gets along with everyone. Millie is not a tiny dog - she is around 20 lbs. Millie is generally fine with other dogs. She can interact with them, walk with them, socialize with them. She does not love sharing her home with them. She can get a bit possessive over her things. She is best as an only dog for this reason. Millie is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. Her adoption fee is $450   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Bubli has a very full schedule: outdoor adventures in the morning, training sessions (his favorite), a little exploring, and then, if you happen to be sitting down with a good book, napping in your lap. He has priorities, and he manages them well. This little guy is food motivated and loves to learn, curious and playful outside, and calm and cuddly inside. Bubli is good with other dogs, great with kids, and rides well in the car, so wherever life takes you, he's ready to come along for it. Basically, the perfect pup all wrapped up in one tiny package. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, adventure-ready companion who will also crash your chill time in the best possible way, Bubli is your guy. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Her name is Turbo Charge, and she lives up to it, just…maybe not in the way you'd expect. Yes, she has occasional zoomies. Yes, she will sniff every single leaf on the entire walk, non-negotiable. Yes, she approaches every day like it’s the best day of her life. But once that’s out of her system, she’s the first one on the couch, remote in hand, ready to watch the latest episode of Love is Blind (or Friends reruns. She’s not picky). Turbo is a loyal, loving shadow who wants to be wherever you are, whether that's hiking a trail, running errands, hitting the beach, or absolutely rotting on the couch. Car rides? Dream passenger. Sleeping in? She’ll not only allow it, she’ll encourage it. And, although she’s only just started potty training, she's a quick learner who’s getting better and better at it every day. Turbo Charge is looking for someone who wants a loyal, cheerful companion who’s up to ride out the twists and turns of life with her. After all, life is a highway… you might as well have a Turbo Charge on your side! -----

Story
Yes, her name is Valve, and like her name, we think that once she’s fully opened up, personality will simply pour out of her. Valve is a sweet, affectionate girl who is brand new to the whole "pet life" thing. Leashes, stairs, couches, and toys are all still pretty foreign to her. But regardless, it’s clear as day that she wants nothing more than to be loved. In fact, she gets so excited to see her people that she can be a bit of a (tiny) bull in a china shop, which is pretty entertaining to watch. She's already discovered the magic of belly rubs, has logged some respectable morning zoomies, and likes to curiously nose around the toy bin. That said, Valve is still building the kind of confidence that lets a dog just...exist comfortably. She sometimes “pancakes” when approached, but it doesn't stop her from wanting love and attention -everything from loving her presence to being patient with potty training to being committed to ongoing confidence-building. She does best with access through the home and not in a play area or crate. She loves napping on the couch! A fenced yard would be a dream for this girl, and a calm, confident dog companion could make a world of difference, too. -----

🌼Meet Yeonu— Once Abandoned, Now Happy, Hopeful, and Ready for a Forever Family! Here are more photos and videos of Yeonu: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTHefmckcPj/?igsh=amdoajdkdTM0ZWJh Yeonu was abandoned this winter in a village in Icheon, Korea. After someone reported him, he was taken to a shelter and placed on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, he was rescued and is currently being cared for by his foster family. However, his time there will be for a short time, as they are unable to foster him for too long. He would love to come to the Seattle area to meet his forever family! Name: Yeonu Breed:Bichon Frise Estimated Age: 4 years 3 months Gender: Male Weight: 20 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Energy Level: 3–4 Yeonu loves plushie toys and enjoys playing fetch when toys with them. Otherwise, he is generally calm and relaxed. On walks, he does not show excessive or reactive behavior. At dog parks, he does not run wildly or rush other dogs. Instead, he greets politely and calmly explores the environment on his own. Good with dogs? Yes, Yeonu gets along well with most dogs. He greets dogs he meets on walks with a wagging tail. At dog parks, he sniffs and says hello politely but does not actively engage in rough or energetic play. He seems to have a more introverted personality. Good with cats? Unknown. Good with kids? Gentle children Sociability with people: Friendly with everyone When Yeonu first arrived at his foster home, he approached each family member sitting in the living room one by one to greet them. He may bark briefly at unfamiliar sounds outside or if someone suddenly appears wearing dark clothing, but he calms down quickly. He approaches strangers happily and wags his tail. Potty trained? Yes. Both on wee wee pads and outdoors. Leash manners: Yes. He may pull a little at the start while sniffing and marking, but it’s easy to manage. After a short time, he usually matches his handler’s pace and walks calmly. Barking: He may bark briefly at unfamiliar sounds but stops quickly when reassured. Separation anxiety: Yes. Yeonu has difficulty being completely alone and may bark or howl when left by himself. If at least one person is home, he does well, though he may whine briefly when his primary caregiver leaves and then settles. Mouthiness/nipping: No aggressive behavior. He loves plushy toys and gently mouths them during play. He takes treats well from an open palm, but when offered with fingertips, he may grab eagerly and accidentally catch fingers. Behavior: Occasionally, he may wake up and bark at a sound in the house, but he calms quickly when reassured. Aside from separation anxiety, no major behavioral issues have been observed. Health Notes: X-rays show a possible issue with the left hip. He has mild patellar luxation, with the right knee graded 2 and the left knee graded 1. When he was rescued, he had kennel cough and mycoplasma, completed treatment, and has fully recovered. Additional Notes: He rides calmly in the car and has been comfortable on rides up to 2 hours. He is comfortable in a dog stroller and relaxes in it. He loves treats very much and sometimes needs calming cues like “sit” before receiving them. He enjoys being petted and likes staying close to people he loves, but he is also comfortable resting on his own at a short distance. When people are eating foods he does not recognize as his own, he calmly lies down under the table or nearby. He enjoys fruits and vegetables such as apples, lettuce, and sweet potatoes. When people become excited, dance, or jump around, he gets excited and may attempt mounting behavior by holding onto legs. He behaves very well during grooming. He has completed hygiene grooming sessions of about 40 minutes. He was slightly sensitive during nail trimming but manageable. Ideal home: A family where at least one person can spend most of the day with him. Additional Comments Yeonu was very attached to his foster mom at first and became anxious when she left, even if others were home. With time and some distance created, he improved a lot. After 3–4 weeks, he only whines briefly when she leaves, though being completely alone is still hard for him. Despite this, he is a very relaxed and easygoing dog. The day after arriving, he was already comfortable lying on the sofa, sleeping on his back with his belly up. He accepts baths calmly, though he may shake off water once or twice. He doesn’t like the hair dryer, but will stay still if it’s on a stand and he’s brushed while drying. Tooth brushing is still being trained; he doesn’t enjoy it but tolerates it well without growling or biting. He knows several commands, including sit, paw, high five, nose touch, V sign, and wait. Food allergies have not been confirmed. Like many Bichon-type dogs, he has tear staining that causes discoloration around his mouth and paws. With proper care and identifying the allergens, this should improve over time. He will also need regular maintenance and grooming, like most Bichons. 🌼Yeonu is a sweetheart and is ready to find his forever family to shower him with love and cuddles!💖 For adoption inquiries, please email/ fill out an adoption application via our link on our instagram bio.🌸

Story
The name Thunder Creek seems a touch dramatic for a fluffy little sweetheart who’s gentle with chickens, but we love a plot twist. This boy is friendly, sweet-natured, curious, and calm. He's got a soft, fluffy coat, the most expressive flopped ears you've ever seen, and eyebrows that do more communicating than most people manage with words. His foster family has been trying to play it cool about just how great he is, mostly because they'd like to keep him around a little longer. We respect this, but…we’re telling you anyway. Thunder Creek is gentle with kids (a 5-year-old and a 10-year-old can confirm), completely unbothered by cats, small animals, and backyard chickens, and has shown zero interest in the neighborhood bunnies and squirrels. He did great with his bath and nail trim, plays well with other dogs, and is nailing potty training. Sounds too good to be true, we know. However, like the trail itself, both Thunder Creeks are very much incredible, and very much real.

Story
The High Hut trail is considered the highlight of the Mount Tahoma Trail System. Coincidentally, HighHut, the dog, is the highlight of his foster parent’s home. In his foster family's words, HighHut is “a mighty precious and well-rounded little darlin'.” He’s friendly, outgoing, playful, affectionate, and cuddly, wrapped up in a soft, fluffy coat that makes him look like a tiny stuffed animal that somehow came to life. He's been tested by a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old, and passed with flying colors. He rides well in the car, has sat through a bath and nail trim without making it anyone's problem, completely ignores the backyard chickens, and shows zero interest in the neighborhood bunnies and squirrels, which, frankly, shows a level of self-restraint we can all aspire to. HighHut is working on potty training, and his foster just introduced potty bells at the door. He goes reliably once he's outside, so the pieces are all there...he’s just still putting them all together (understandably). He hasn't been formally introduced to other dogs yet, aside from his brother, but given how unproblematic he’s been about literally everything else, we're not too worried about it. Hikers who make it to the real High Hut are rewarded with the kind of views that stop them in their tracks . HighHut the dog offers a similarly breathtaking experience, but you don't have to gain 2,400 feet of elevation to get there.
