Story
*Lady The Forgotten One, Still Hoping* Lady has been in the kennels longer than any other dogDay after day, month after month, she has watched other dogs leave with families of their own while she quietly remains behind. Not because she isnt loving, not because she doesnt deserve a homebut simply because she needs someone to look past the sadness in her story and see the softness in her soul. Lady was surrendered by her owner, a person who loved her but was suffering from dementia. In a confused and heartbreaking moment, she was accidentally burned with hot coffee. Since then, Lady has carried both visible and invisible scars. Shes especially nervous around mena fear she didnt choose but one shes trying so hard to overcome. Still, Lady tries. She leans in slowly. She walks gently by your side. And when she begins to trust you, when she finally feels safe, she becomes someone magical. She gives kisses like theyre gifts. She melts into your touch. She shines with quiet joy. And she *adores* other dogstheyre her happy place, her comfort, her confidence. Lady may not run into your arms right away. But give her time. Give her patience. Give her what no one else has given her yeta real chance. Because the dog whos been overlooked the longest is also the one with the most love left to give. Shes not broken. Shes just waitingfor you.
