Story
Rosie is a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog with a gentle heart and a quiet strength that grows a little more each day. Naturally shy, Rosie has made tremendous progress thanks to the patience and dedication of our staff and volunteers, but she’s now at a point where she truly needs a home (or committed foster) to continue blossoming. In the right environment, Rosie’s soft personality begins to shine. She thrives on consistency, kindness, and trust, and once she bonds, she forms a deep connection. While she does well with other dogs, Rosie’s favorite place is right beside her person. She’s the kind of dog who chooses you, and when she does, it’s incredibly special.Rosie would do best with someone who understands shy dogs and is willing to move at her pace, celebrating the small victories that lead to big transformations. A calm, loving home or a dedicated foster willing to keep building her confidence will make all the difference in her journey.Rosie isn’t looking for just any home, she’s waiting for the one where she can feel safe, loved, and finally home

Story
Hi there! My name is Bambi and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I am a 2 1/2 year old Queensland heeler looking for my new home! I am smart and a little shy to start off. Treats are the way to my heart. I will be your shadow once we bond and am looking forward to our time together! Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!

Story
Who is going to be the lucky person to bring this dog into their life? Sofia is a doll! She's about a year old and was rescued from the Riverside County, CA shelter just in time. She is now in foster care in Santa Barbara, CA. Sofia is everything that a cattle dog should be. She's smart, energetic and athletic. She's also capable of being chill and hanging out as long as she gets decent exercise. And she wants nothing more than to please her shepherd. I've rarely had a foster dog who showed such a quick submissive response to correction. That plus a quick mind will make her so easy to train to be whatever you want! Sofia is great with all other dogs she has met, and she has met a lot. She plays well with a larger age-mate. She's got high enough prey drive that cats are likely not a good match for her. She was also very nervous around a toddler, so she's a no for a home with small children. But she's friendly with older kids. Sofia is housebroken, loves leash walks, and is great on car rides. She's going to be a fantastic companion to anyone who wants an active dog who also wants to cuddle!

Story
Teemo, is a 7 year old Australian shepherd born on 3/19/18 . Teemo is a very cool dog that loves playing catch all day or until your arm gives out. Even though Teemo is very energetic, he loves receiving love and hugs and will lay down with you. We decided to give Teemo for adoption due to small children as well as allergies caused to the 2 year old. The wife and I work all day and cant give them the attention they deserve. We want him to live a good life with the attention he deserves and be happy and loved. He has a lot of love to give and a lot of balls to catch!
