Story
Luca came to my home as a puppy who my then fiance picked out. He's a very good boy, but has herder tendencies such as nipping and jumping up. He has mostly stopped nipping (unless it's a stranger), but will still jump at people, especially if someone is doing something they're not supposed to, antagonizing him, or getting in his space/not taking a hint. He's come a long way since he was a puppy; he knows how to sit, stay, lay down, will stay with me off leash, and will do his nails (scratch sandpaper being held to file down his nails). He was hurt before when having his nails trimmed at a store, and will not let anyone trim his nails at this time, though he will now let people handle his paws.I just want him to have a home where he can get his energy out in safe ways. It's not fair for him to get in trouble all the time for trying to get more space.I will keep him if I can't find a better home for him.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. August 19, 2026, 8:44 pm

Bella is already showing off her excellent manners—she’s housebroken, walks beautifully on leash, and absolutely loves her crate. In fact, her crate is her special safe place where she can relax and feel comfortable. She’s also a social girl who does well with both dogs and cats! Whether she’s ready to play, make a new furry friend, or simply hang out with her people, Bella is happiest when she’s spending time with those she loves. August 20, 2026, 11:11 am
