Story
Hi, I’m Cooper! I’m a one-year-old, 42-lb cattle dog blend. I’m curious, cuddly, clever, and quirky. There’s just one thing I’m missing: a forever family who will love me forever. General Behavior: Cooper is an amazing, loving dog that will bring joy to your life. He is young and energetic and needs plenty of exercise, and he is also a very loving dog who will snuggle all day and loves scratches and belly rubs. Likes & Dislikes: Cooper LOVES his people and HATES to be left alone. He likes toys, too, but he tends to eat them. Balls are his favorite and he will chase them and bring them back to you… most of the time. Training: Cooper is a smart cookie! He is housetrained if let out regularly. He walks well on a leash (although he could use a bit of practice), he is well-behaved on car rides, and he has even learned some commands, like “sit” and “stay”.  He is food motivated, so his future family should be able to continue his training. Medical: Cooper is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Other Animals: Cooper is good with other dogs of all sizes. He’s even good with cats! Children: Although Cooper mostly has good manners, he still gets excited and jumps on people, so he’d do best in a home with teens and older only. Home: This boy can leap and bound that puts Superman to shame: therefore, he needs a house with a yard and at least a six-foot-high fence is a must. Cooper also needs a home where someone is around most of the time. If he is left alone, he must be left in a secure location to keep him out of trouble: he gets anxious and destructive when left alone.    Grooming: Cooper does not require much elaborate grooming, apart from brushing. Luckily, he loves being brushed! Overall: Cooper will make a wonderful companion for someone who will take him on adventures, give him lots of belly rubs, and love him forever. Cooper is ready to “fly the coop” and meet his forever family: could that be you? If so, visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $400. ##2295729##

Story
Meet Wiley – The Velcro Pup with a Heart of Gold If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts cuddler and go-getter, Wiley might just be your dream dog. This 2-year-old red heeler mix is sweet, playful, and very enthusiastic about love—he might even try to leap straight into your arms (don’t say we didn’t warn you)! Wiley thrives on connection, especially with the ladies—he tends to bond more quickly with female companions and loves nothing more than curling up beside you after a good play session or walk. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and always ready to make his person smile. Like many heelers, Wiley is smart, driven, and happiest when he has a “job” to do—whether that’s helping you around the house, joining you on a hike, or just being your shadow throughout the day. He’s got that classic herding-dog loyalty and work ethic, paired with a goofy, lovable charm that makes him impossible to resist. Wiley would thrive in a home where he can stay active, mentally engaged, and close to his favorite human (or humans). If you’re ready for a best friend who’s up for adventure and down for a cuddle, Wiley’s your guy. Wiley’s ready to work his way into your heart—are you ready to meet him?

Story
Star was born sometime in May 2024 but she was given to me by a friend of a friend so I am not sure her exact birthday. She is a very well behaved puppy. She loves to play and cuddle. She is potty trained to go outside but with some excitement she will have an accident. She has grown up with other puppies, cats, and small children in the home and gets along very well. I am going through a separation and moving to a much smaller apartment and just work way too much to give her the attention that she needs.
