It breaks my heart to post this, but due to my work schedule as a firefighter, I'm not able to give my dog the consistent time and attention she deserves. Sadie is an Australian cattle dog mix and is 9 years old full of love and energy. She's great with adults loves walks, cuddles, fetch , and just wants to be around people. I'm looking for a loving home where she'll get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. She's up to date on shots. If you or someone you know can give Sadie the time and love she deserves, please reach out. This isn't easy for me, but I want what's best for her.

She adores people, loves other dogs, and greets everyone like they’re already her best friend. Despite surviving a terrible injury when she was shot, leaving a pellet lodged in her spine, she hasn’t let it dim her spirit one bit. She now uses a wheelchair to zoom around—and trust us, she can keep up with the best of them! Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Every day she shows just how strong, joyful, and loving a dog can be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and a reminder of what true courage looks like, she’s your girl. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Dude may be a senior cattle dog, but he still has plenty of pep in his step! When he first arrived at the shelter he was fearful of staff, but with time and patience he has warmed up and made many human friends along the way. Once he knows you, Dude is a playful and fun companion who loves chasing tennis balls and will happily show off his enthusiasm for treats, he’s very food motivated! Dude will need an adult-only home (no children) where he can continue building trust with his people. Because he can be nervous with new individuals, Dude is part of our “Build the Bond” program and is currently available by appointment only with specific staff members. If you’re interested in meeting Dude and starting the process toward adoption, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment.

This sweet girl will make the best companion for ANYONE. She is so sweet and gentle and is 100% house and crate trained. She was surrendered to us with a litter of puppies she just had but has since been Spayed and fully vaccinated. She is a Border Collie/Black Lab Mix. She enjoys naps and hanging out. Her FAVORITE thing to do though is Truck/Car Rides, she jumps right up and requires no lifting. She does great with other dogs, cats, and kids!!
