Story
It breaks my heart to post this, but due to my work schedule as a firefighter, I'm not able to give my dog the consistent time and attention she deserves. Sadie is an Australian cattle dog mix and is 9 years old full of love and energy. She's great with adults loves walks, cuddles, fetch , and just wants to be around people. I'm looking for a loving home where she'll get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. She's up to date on shots. If you or someone you know can give Sadie the time and love she deserves, please reach out. This isn't easy for me, but I want what's best for her.

Sparko is a sweet, energetic male dog. He loves kids and does well with other dogs and cats. He loves to cuddle and to give kisses. He will be 2 years old this year. He is due for his yearly rabies vaccine. We were not supposed to end up with any dogs but they needed a home. We can not keep them due to allergies. Please if anyone is able to keep this sweet boy, we would love to find his forever home.

Story
Meet Phoenix- The bravest little fighter you will ever meet. This sweet girl has a heart as big as her smile. She adores people, loves other dogs, and greets everyone like they’re already her best friend. Despite surviving a terrible injury when she was shot, leaving a pellet lodged in her spine, she hasn’t let it dim her spirit one bit. She now uses a wheelchair to zoom around—and trust us, she can keep up with the best of them! Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Every day she shows just how strong, joyful, and loving a dog can be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and a reminder of what true courage looks like, she’s your girl. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $350 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org. ##2492112##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Liberty! Liberty is a fun-loving young girl who is looking for an active family to grow up with. She was originally adopted in July 2025 when she was just 3–4 months old, but unfortunately she has come back to us through no fault of her own. As she has grown, Liberty has become a strong, energetic dog, and her previous owner found they were unable to keep up with her activity level. Liberty is still very much a puppy at heart. She is intelligent, affectionate, curious, and full of energy. She thrives when she has plenty of stimulation, activities, and toys to keep her busy. She loves toys of all kinds and often carries her favorites around proudly. She previously lived in a home with a 13-year-old dog and did well, and here at the rescue she has shown interest in playing with some of the younger dogs. Because she is used to having a canine companion, another playful dog in the home could be a great match for her and help burn off some of that puppy energy  Liberty has been around children ages two and up and enjoys being part of an active household. A home with a fenced yard would be a big plus for her, as she absolutely loves having space to run and play. Like many young dogs, Liberty is still learning. She is potty trained and has not been destructive in the home — her previous owner shared that she has never chewed on furniture or destroyed property. She is still a bit mouthy at times, which is common for puppies, and she will benefit from continued training and guidance as she grows. She will also need some work with leash training to help her become a confident walking companion. Liberty is a wonderful young dog with so much love to give. With an active family, continued training, and plenty of playtime, she will grow into an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a smart, playful pup to join your adventures, Liberty may be the perfect match for you.   Blue Heelers and Border Collies are both herding breeds, so these pups will thrive with families who are ready to keep them engaged and active. *A fenced yard to run in, walks, games of fetch, or even dog sports could be a great fit for their energetic little bodies and sharp minds.* With the right home, these pups will grow into loyal, loving companions who will stick by your side and bring endless joy and fun to your life. If you’re ready to welcome one of these amazing pups into your family, apply today and come meet them—we promise it’ll be puppy love at first sight! Important Information for New Puppy Parents Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog,  dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential We  strongly recommend that the   entire family  participates in puppy training classes . This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the  same commands and techniques , creating a clear and consistent environment for learning. Story
Huck is a 3 year old blue heeler. He is A very loyal dog. Often following right by you and always wanting to play. Unfortunately I need to relocate him as he is an escape artist and rips thru my farm fence. I’m worried he will escape and get hit by a car as we live near a major road. Ideal home would be a farm or large land with room for him to run and play.
