Story
Hi, my name is Peppermint Patty. Some call me Peppy for short. It is estimated that I am just about 2 years old. I am super smart, I already know sit, boop, down, drop it, wait and leave it. I also know what they mean when they tell me to pee or poop on a walk, these are just the beginnings of words that I am learning, and I can (and want to) learn so much more! I would benefit most from a home with someone VERY active and would like to take the time to train me on many more commands. The sky is the limit as to what I can learn. I do get along with other dogs (with slow introductions), but I am also very intense, so it depends on whether the other dog is willing and able to set boundaries for me. I require slow introductions to people as well, you can't just trust everyone. Since I am young, and strong, it would be best to be in a home without children. I love to go on walks, but love yard zoomies as well, so a fenced-in yard is preferred. I am a bit of a handful, so we don't want anyone to think they are entering into this lightly with me. I will need love, time and lots of training to be the best dog I can be. In return, you will have my loyalty and love, I'm a very wonderful companion. No DNA tests have been done, but since Cattle Dog and possibly Blue Nose Pit are both on the restricted breed list, homeownership is required to adopt me. No renters. I have all had all of my shots, and am spayed. This is all included in my adoption fee, as well as a registered microchip and a full set of medical records for you and my future vet! If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for a meet and greet. I'm looking forward to meeting you! Only applicants who meet the following current requirements will be considered: - Homeownership, no renters - Children in the home must be 13 and up - Fenced yard not required, but preferred ##1596640##

Story
Lizzie is a red and white female Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix. She is approximately 1 year old. Lizzie is very shy at first with all people, especially men, but she does warm up with treats. Lizzie would be best as an only pet. She loves to run and play to get all her energy out, as well as long walks. Don't be fooled by all her playfulness this girl loves to snuggle on a nice soft blanket in the house. Lizzie tends to focus on the environment around her, rather than the people. We are working with her to help her to learn that people are awesome and a lot more fun than a random squirrel. We do know that this girl loves treats and is food motivated! Lizzie is going to make a great baby for one lucky family could that be with you? For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Story
We are a family who has 4 rescue mutts but as pack dynamics change, we have found that one of our precious mutts is overwhelmed by being in a multi-dog family and is in need of a single dog lifestyle. We have been working with a professional dog trainer for several months and have come to the very difficult decision that Zoey needs to be in a house hold where she gets 100% of the attention, and can have mellow time to just be a lap dog and chill without other dogs trying to play and establish place in the pack hierarchy. Zoey is 4-5 years of age and is a short and stubby 55 pound mix of cattle dog and Pittie. She loves chasing squirrels and swimming in her dog pool. She has been an indoor dog with access to a fenced in yard via dog door and has no issues with our 2 cats. She knows basic obedience commands and has a crate only for sleeping at night but really prefers to be in bed snuggled right up beside us. If you have an empty house with a fenced yard that needs a stubby pup please
