Story
Hello there, I'm Karl, a three-year-old cattledog mix overflowing with charm and playfulness! With my endearing goofiness and joyous nature, I'm guaranteed to bring laughter and love into your home. Toys are my passion-I can't resist a squeaky ball or a plushy friend to toss around. Whether it's a game of fetch in the yard or a puzzle toy indoors, I'm always up for fun and games. My enthusiasm is contagious, and I'll keep you entertained with my antics and my wagging tail. I've got a special place in my heart for kids! Their energy matches mine, and I love nothing more than playing gently and sharing affection with them. I'm patient and tolerant, making me a perfect companion for a family with little ones who want to join in on the fun. At three years old, I'm past the puppy stage but still have plenty of zest for life. I'm eager to learn new tricks and would thrive with continued training and positive reinforcement. With a little guidance, I'll be the well-behaved and loving companion you've always wanted. I get along well with other dogs too and enjoy making new friends wherever I go. My friendly nature extends to everyone I meet, and I'm always ready to shower you with love and cuddles at the end of an active day. If you're looking for a spirited and affectionate addition to your family, someone who adores playtime and cherishes kids, then I am the perfect match for you. Story
Bandit is a young and handsome energetic pup. He is around 40lbs and is a year old. He needs a person willing to spend time continuing his training as he is young and still in the chewing stage. He is treat and attention motivated. He is crate trained, rides well in car, he has made great strides on leash walking and potty training. Bandit has a silly, fun personality. He is very curious and has a lot of potential, I would say medium to high energy but he does have an off switch. He was a little nervous during thunderstorms but just needs to know where his person is. Bandit is an all around love bug that gets along well with other dogs, is neutered, current on immunizations and on preventatives. If he sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration ane transfer to his new furever family. He rides well in the car and is pretty submissive to other dogs. Story
We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available.   Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups.   Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete.  When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Hi, I’m Douglas! I’m named after the road I was found on scared and alone. A nice family took me in, cleaned me up, helped me gain weight and even made sure I got all of my puppy shots! Now they are trying to help me find my forever home. The vet says I’m about 8 months old (EST DOB 06/20/2023) and some cheek swab thingy figured out I am a mostly Australian Cattle Dog/Terrier mixed breed. I’m a very playful, curious and energetic little fella! I love to do zoomies, army crawl across the living room on my belly and roll around to play on my back. I love playing fetch with a ball and spending time outside. I’m a chewer so sometimes I have to be redirected to my toys and bones so I don’t inadvertently eat my human’s socks or flip flops. I’m very trainable - I have learned to sit, sit and stay and shake. I’m a really sweet boy and am starting to mind my manners. I need someone who has the time and patience to work with me so I’m more consistent responding to commands. One of the best things about me is that I’m crate trained and I even go in there now without getting a treat when my family tells me to “go home”. They say I whine sometimes when I’m bored in my crate but it’s just because I want to come out to play and see everyone! I’m really good at taking naps and sleeping in my crate. I LOVE food, sometimes a little too much, but I’m not food aggressive. You can motivate me to do just about anything with a training treat! My rescue mom says I’m doing really well at sitting and staying before I get my food. The house I’m staying in has 10 year old twins. Sometimes I listen to them and follow their lead, other times I get confused and think they are pack playmates so I jump and nip (playfully). My rescuer has not seen me with younger kids so we are not sure how I would behave. I get along well with other dogs and love to rough play. My rescuer’s 5 year old 70 lb female pup is my favorite playmate! She loves to rough play with me and puts me in check when I need it. My rescue family says with some training and a lot of love and fun, I’m going to grow up to be a great dog! Story
This little lady is 41 pounds and may be only 1-1/2 years old, but she is so chill and eager to please. Margo has basic commands but is not great with stay. Heeler tendency! She sees everything! She can walk well and is fairly good at heeling. We are working on focus! I use the command "eyes" so she will look back and connect to me while walking. Margo is loving, smart and beautiful. Her pictures don’t do her justice. My neighbors have a 5 year old neighbor boy who has his sister text me to bring Margo out for a hug! Margo will make a wonderful active companion, hiking and maybe a running partner. She would be a great dog for agility training. Her energy level is fairly chill for an ACD and she has an "off-switch" and likes to snuggle. She crates well and is house trained. She does have the heeler trait of jumping up at you if you don't set boundaries, but she is more gentle with the jump. She is becoming better as we continue training. She has learned to walk by rabbits and ducks without even the slightest pull on her leash. Margo tends to do better with male dogs or maybe a submissive female. Cats are not tested, nor recommended. She also needs to be with someone who is experienced with heelers. A fenced yard is needed. Margo should have someone who takes her to group training. She is currently fostered in the Naples area.
