Story
Miller is a 3-year-old Black Tri Heeler. He was owner relinquished. His family went through a divorce and he was living in an apartment in a crate most of the day. They couldn't offer him the life he deserved.Great with other dogs!Loves to run and play fetch! He is a snuggle bug and super sweet. He would be an excellent Farm Dog, he's a herder!!Crate trained. Potty trained. Leash trained Knows basic commands.Learns very fast!Miller is super smart and needs a job. He LOVES car rides! He would be a phenomenal agility dog!He loves water! He's learned to wait his turn for treats with other dogs. He's learning to be good with chickens, he runs through them for fun and is just curious. He's pretty good with cats. If the cat runs from him he will probably run after it. If it stands up to him he'll be terrified of it.So far, he's not great with little kids but good with older kids. However, that's likely just an exposure/training issue. He has had some good experiences, but if his boundary is involved he's reactive.Miller has very strong protective genes. He is boundary reactive if an unknown someone is approaching his space that he is 'supposed to protect'. He recalls by name extremely well with treats, and will go to his crate or his room on command. You can also have him sit and focus on a treat while new people enter the space around him, which helps. A harness with a handle has proven very helpful. He can be amazing with new people once he's introduced properly. Restaurants and the drive-thru are too overstimulating because he's trying to protect the space around him and he's not sure what to do with the new people that enter. This is again something that could be trained. He has gone to stores like Tractor Supply and been fine because he doesn't own the space.Miller needs a home that understands this breed and can offer him the outlet to safely act on his natural instincts in a controlled environment. A big yard or farm and some training would go a long way. If he could guard a fence line or gate instead of a front door that would be ideal.

Story
Meet Ilya! 🐾💙 Ilya is a 1-year-old blue heeler weighing in at about 50 pounds. He’s a nice boy with a gentle nature, but the shelter environment has been very overwhelming for him, so he can be quite scared here. With patience, understanding, and time to decompress, Ilya has the potential to grow more confident and show his true personality. As a young, intelligent herding breed, Ilya will thrive in a home that can provide structure, guidance, and a calm environment. Because he can be nervous, he would do best in a home with children over 12 only who can respect his space while he adjusts. Ilya is heartworm positive, but he is still deserving of a loving family who will give him the chance to feel safe and secure. With the right home, this sweet boy can blossom into a loyal and devoted companion. 🐶✨

Story
Kardi girl is very loving and loyal dog. She was born April 19, 2019 in Missouri. We adopted her from Five Acres Animal shelter in St. Charles, MO when she was 3 months old, she has been with us the whole time. She is potty trained, knows how to sit, lay down, turn around, shake, and play dead. Her favorite spot to be is on any pillow she can find. She LOVES to watch TV, I think she could spend hours doing that. Kardi is a high energy dog and I do believe she has some anxiety. Kardi does need to be with someone who does not have other dogs or children.

Story
Lyra is a 35 lbs red heeler mix puppy. Unfortunately due to issues with our cats we need to find her a new home. Lyra has very high energy and enjoys multiple walks and play sessions per day. she loves to play fetch and can easily jump 4ft in the air. She loves squeaky toys and is a strong chewer and loves having chew toys and puzzle treats. She also loves to swim and will dive into a pool to get a toy. She would thrive in a home with another dog, fenced in yard and high activity level. She has a high prey drive and she often chases, corners and play rough with cats, therefore she would do best in a house with no cats or small animals. Lyra has completed beginner and intermediate training and knows basic commands. she is still working on walking We have a ton of food, toys, treats and a crate and beds that can go with her if wanted as well. We are committed to keeping her with us until we find the perfect home for her. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
