Meet Gumbo! Gumbo is a super sweet, slightly shy 1.5-year-old Blue Heeler mix weighing about 40 lbs. This handsome tri-color boy was found as a stray, but he hasn’t let his past dim his gentle spirit. Gumbo is heartworm positive, but Paws Fur Recovery will cover all costs involved. He’s blossoming beautifully and is now searching for a forever family who will give him the love, patience, and stability he truly deserves. Gumbo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would enjoy a home with a canine friend to help boost his confidence. Once he warms up, he’s affectionate, loyal, and eager to be near his people. He has that classic Heeler intelligence and a soft, tender heart that makes him easy to love. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who just needs a little reassurance to shine, Gumbo may be the perfect match. Could this sweet boy be your new best friend? Story
🐾 Caimi and Her 8 Precious Pups – Rescued from Georgia 🐾 Sweet Caimi and her eight adorable puppies were rescued from a shelter in Georgia, where their future was uncertain. Most county shelters simply don’t have the space, staff, or resources to care for a mom and her newborns, so when this little family needed help, Big Dog Ranch Rescue didn’t hesitate to step in. Now safe in our care, Caimi and her babies are getting everything they need — medical attention, good nutrition, and most importantly, love. Caimi can finally rest easy knowing her pups are warm, fed, and cared for. Each day they’re growing stronger, learning, and showing more of their sweet, playful personalities. Before long, Caimi and her pups will be ready to find their forever homes — families who will love them as much as we do. ❤️ Can you make a place in your heart for a rescue pup? Every adoption helps save another life in need.

Story
Meet Spot: Spot is a 4-year-old cattle dog mix with a big heart and a busy brain. He first came to us as a transfer from Palm Beach County in 2022. After being adopted, Spot was returned because it turned out he needed a more experienced adopter who could better meet his needs—it was simply not the right fit. Spot is a little under-socialized, which means he hasn’t had enough chances to learn about the world yet. With time, patience, and training, he can grow more confident and comfortable. He would do best with a handler who enjoys teaching and is willing to spend time helping him succeed. Spot can get frustrated when there is a barrier, like a window or a fence, but this does not mean he is aggressive. He is still learning how to manage his excitement and feelings in those moments. He does well with other dogs and can make friends when given slow, proper introductions. With structure, guidance, and kindness, Spot has so much potential to shine. Spot is looking for a home that understands him and is ready to help him learn and grow. In return, he’ll be a loyal companion who just needs the right person on his team.
