This 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog is playful, smart, and oh-so-loving—just waiting for his perfect person to share all the cuddles with.   Fostered in Argos, IN |  ~2 years old |  Australian Cattle Dog |  Housetrained Leroy is the total package—affectionate, fun, and incredibly loyal. He LOVES cuddling on the couch, snuggling into warm blankets fresh from the dryer, and rubbing his face on yours when he wants attention.  Squeaky ball fanatic  Completed obedience classes—smart and eager to please  Great in the car and enjoys short walks  Excellent house manners  Showing wonderful improvement on leash around distractions, including other dogs Leroy would do best as the only dog in his home or could live with a submissive female dog. While he’s sweet and friendly with people (just ask his vet team!), he’s happiest and most relaxed when he doesn’t have to share his space with more dominant dogs. He’d thrive in a calm, adult-only home—perfect for a single person or couple looking for a loyal, snuggly companion. If you’ve been waiting for that one special dog to be your best friend, Leroy is your guy!  ************************************************************************************************************************** Leroy – Your One and Only  (Intro Bio) Fostered in Argos, IN | ~2 years old | Medium-sized Australian Cattle Dog Leroy is the total package—affectionate, playful, and incredibly loyal. He LOVES cuddling up on the couch, snuggling into warm blankets fresh from the dryer, and rubbing his face on yours when he wants attention. He’s a squeaky ball fanatic and has completed obedience classes, proving he’s smart and eager to please. He enjoys short walks, rides well in the car, and has excellent house manners. But most importantly, Leroy needs to be the only dog in the home. While he’s a sweet, friendly guy with people (ask his vet team!), he’s happiest and most relaxed when he doesn’t have to share his space with other dogs. Leroy would thrive in a calm, adult-only home—perhaps with a single person or a couple—who’s looking for a devoted companion to shower with love. If you’ve been waiting for that one special dog to be your best friend, Leroy might just be the one.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 3, 2025, 9:56 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ellen – Your Sweet Shadow Ellen is a gentle, tricolor Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix who’s about 9 years old. Petite at just 35 pounds, she’s the perfect size for snuggles and companionship. Ellen has already proven her resilience—after overcoming mammary issues and healing beautifully from her spay, she’s ready to enjoy the good life with a loving family. What makes Ellen special Sweet & Loyal: Ellen loves to follow her people everywhere, always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. Dog-Friendly: She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making her a great fit for multi-pet households. Affectionate Companion: Ellen adores giving kisses, rubbing against her humans, and soaking up massages around her neck and face. Couch Potato or Shadow: Left alone, she’s happy to relax quietly, but she’ll also trail you from room to room to keep you in sight. Family-Friendly: Ellen loves everyone—including children—and greets new people with friendliness. Low Energy: Due to age, she’s calm and easygoing, with modest exercise needs. Special Considerations: Ellen is hearing impaired, stairs can be tricky for her, and she hasn’t been tested with cats—but her foster believes she’d do fine with them. Ellen’s Ideal Home Ellen is the kind of dog who will quietly brighten your days with her gentle presence and unconditional love. She’s happiest in a home where she can be near her humans, enjoying a relaxed lifestyle filled with affection. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Remington (Remi for short) was adopted by his current family when he was a young puppy, and has lived with them since; however, with the family's circumstances changing recently, his owners are now looking for a home for Remi where he will receive more attention and care then can be given him in his current home. Remi is an active, fun-loving adult dog, a Heeler/Corgi cross with behaviors typical of the herding breeds.  He is a bit nervous about new people and things -- a very typical herding breed characteristic -- but is friendly when he gets to know the person or surroundings.  He has not lived with children but has behaved well when around them; however, it would be best, given his age, that he live in a home with older children or no children.  Also, he has not been around cats, so how he might react to them is an unknown. Remi is in South Bend IN.  If you would like more information about him, or want to meet him, please contact his owner at brendakrathwohl@gmail.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 4, 2025, 6:50 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Louise Louise is expected to stay on the smaller side. Like her presumed littermate Thelma, Louise came from a shelter in Indiana after being found living under a deck and surviving by eating a carcass. She was not socialized with people and has a long road ahead—but she’s making small steps forward. Louise is more skittish than Thelma. She freezes or retreats when approached and needs slow, gentle interactions. She currently allows her foster to pick her up and place her in her crate, and she has begun sniffing curiously from a distance. Louise is still very fearful and will bark at strangers. One bright spot: she loves other dogs, which is helping her learn to trust and observe calm, social behavior. She needs a patient, experienced home where she can continue to blossom. Not ready yet—but worth the wait. Being fostered in Plymouth, Please contact cripecasey@gmail.com if you have any questions about Louise.  You can complete an application to adopt Louise or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .     ***  The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 29, 2025, 5:11 pm
