Lizzo is a 7-8 year old cattle dog mix weighing about 30 pounds.  She is dog friendly and loves to play with her friends that vary in age from young puppy to adult.  She is crate trained and learning good potty habits.  Lizzo arrived with missing hair and inflamed skin due to poor care and lack of flea prevention.  She has recovered nicely, but may have some scaring along her back.  Lizzo is a great little companion.  Lizzo's new family will have to give her time to adjust.  She is more comfortable right now with her dog friends.    If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Chin Strap came to us from a kill shelter in TN where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is an extremely timid dog who is good with other dogs, but scared of people. His approx. birth date is 11/11/12 and he currently weighs approx. 50#. He is in a foster home and blending in with his house mates. He will not be placed with children. UPDATE - he is in foster, house trained & good with cats. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol And heart worm tested negative.His adoption donation is $100 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. Dutch Billy Boy came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky  where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building because he does have times of anxiety. His approx. birth date is 10/10/18 and he currently weighs 22#. We are guessing at his breed make up. This guy will not be placed with children and he will need structure in his new home. UPDATE - I am in a foster home & house trained! He graduated from obedience class, but needs a very consistent owner who will follow through on daily routine. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He also tested heart worm negative. His adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. Lady is a wonderful dog. It breaks my heart to re-home her. Her birthdate is 02/06/2023. She is 7 months old. I adopted her from Pat's Pet in the University Mall when she was 3 months old. Paid $700 for her. We have kennel trained her for night time and she is house broke. When I adopted Lady I worked remote from home and I was able to be with her all day. However, my job moved me onsite about a month ago and it unfair to leave her in her kennel for 8 hours a day. Not to mention she is extremely active and needs to run and play. My grandchild will be born soon, as well, and Lady does not know how to not jump on people. So the concern is two fold, the unfairness of kenneling for long period of times and the fear of her harming the baby. Lady would do well with someone who is home with her, can play with her, and has a fenced in yard with room to allow her to run.

Hi friends! I'm Diamond! I am about three years old and I'm spayed! The humans here will tell you that I'm the sweetest sweetie pie. I love affection so much and am happiest when I'm sitting as close to you as possible. I am very stressed out in the shelter environment so I'd love to find a family soon. I'm such a happy girl. My tail is always wagging and I don't ever miss an opportunity to interact with someone. I really just want to reiterate how loving I am. I'd be the most loyal best friend ever. I have done well being crated while you are out shopping for me. I also am not destructive unless I get a good whiff of something yummy from the trash can! Just make sure that it is unreachable for me and we should be good! I have lived with older children, around 10ish, before and I was very playful and tolerant when around them. If your kids are respectful and gentle towards me, I'm sure we could become besties. I've done quite well meeting other shelter pups who like to pay tag and hop around like I do. I wasn't sure at first, but the humans say that my body language and interaction skills are pretty amazing! I know how to sit, I take treats nicely, I love running, snuggling, going for walks, playing with squeaky toys, and chewing on bones. It'd be great for me to get daily exercise! And maybe even an enrichment puzzle or two throughout the day! Let's become a family. Love, Diamond.
