Hi, I’m Jäger! My foster mom says I’m ready for my forever home! I love my ball and going for adventures or just a lazy day at home. I am great with cats, kids and small-medium dogs but other big dogs are not my favorite. I am house broken, leash trained and obedience trained. I even come with all my belongings! I can’t wait to start my new life in my own home!

Story
Meet Jasmine! Jasmine is a Heeler mix that is around 2 years old and weighs 46 pounds. Jasmine is a very sweet girl and loves to give hugs! Jasmine loves to go for walks and would make a great adventure partner! Jasmine is housebroken and would do best in a home with older kids. Jasmine will need a home without cats. Jasmine is good with most other dogs but at times can be selective of her k-9 friends. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along. Jasmine is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & spayed! Story
Baker is a Male Cattle dog mix DOB: January of 2026 Adoption fee: $200 I am a cutie for sure! I am full of life, love, and happiness. I am smart but mischievous at times, which will keep you on your toes. I would do my best with an active family and a physically fenced yard; I may require the fence pending your location and previous experience. There is no guarantee on my breed; it is a best guess scenario. There is also no guarantee of how big or small I may be as an adult. Pending a meet and greet, I should do well with other dogs. I have not met a cat at this time but should adjust to a dog friendly cat using a slow positive style of introduction. Pending observed interaction, I should do well with children 8 years and older. With training, boundaries, and daily exercise, I will be a great companion for the right family.

Story
Beanz is a 6.5-year-old, 70 lb neutered bully mix originally adopted from the Capital Area Humane Society. His family is relocatingto England where bully breeds are illegal. He is an affectionate companion who enjoys lounging on the couch or in the sun, daily walks, swimming, and car rides. His unique quirks include waiting in the car if the garage door is left open and parking himself between your legs for butt scratches, lifting his hind leg for better access. He is a powerful chewer requiring durable toys. Beanz is a graduate of a professional board-and-train program; he is house-trained, crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and knows commands like Sit, Stay, Place, Leave It, and Heel. He can be initially reserved with strangers but warms up quickly. The ideal home is a household with a fenced yard and older children. He should be the only pet, as he can be selective and over-corrective with other dogs. He has lived with other dogs, but needs slow, structured introduction.

Story
Sid Terrier/Cattle dog mix. DOB: April of 2022. Adoption fee: $100.00 I have come a long way since first entering the shelter. I enjoy going for walks with my volunteer friends. They love my quirky personality, and rave about what a good boy I am. I am not a big boy; about beagle size and I will not get any bigger. I do well with other dogs, pending personalities, my favorites are the ladies, especially the larger ones, the bigger the better is my motto! I can be a bit stubborn when I’m not ready to come in, I will require a physically fenced in yard. I need a little work on taking treats gently. I love to play with toys and after a nice long walk I enjoy a nice rub down. I do not show the cats much interest. I may be okay with a dog savvy cat, slow intro and use caution until we are better acclimated to one another. Children in my home should be 12 years and older. I have been overlooked for quite a while and I have so much to offer a family, I just need someone to take a chance on me. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.
