Did you know that the ivy plant is a symbol of everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty? An inspiring name for a charismatic pooch such as myself! Being the young lady that I am, an active family would be a match made in heaven! Play time is quite possibly my favorite time of day (sometimes I get a bit carried away with my plushy toys). I like to live life enthusiastically, having a positive direction for my gusto would be the ultimate delight for me! Although physical activity is an absolute riot, having a cool down period with some mental games is a good time too. At the end of the day, I just want to be involved with my people. I am not one to turn down a snuggle session by any means. What can I say, I am a sweetheart after all. I hope to find a family that wants to understand and accepts me for the glorious rescue dog that I am. For instance, I like some other dogs, but not every dog. Smaller dogs (and cats for that matter) remind me of chicken nuggets, I can't help but feel some prey drive there. But some other dogs my own size are fun to hang out and play with. I suppose that its pretty normal to not get along with everyone you meet in life though. Whether or not you are a botanical enthusiast, if you are looking for a forever companion submit your adoption application for the perfect furry addition! Meet Calypso! She is searching for a new place to call home! Calypso is a Heeler mix that is 3 years old and weighs 35 pounds. Calypso is a very sweet and well behaved girl. Calypso is quite shy at first but does open up pretty quickly. Calypso does love to play but also is very chill, and loves to lounge. Calypso is also quite smart and knows a few different tricks, walks good on a leash and just loves to be around people. Calypso is housebroken and is good with kids, doesn’t mind the cats and is good with other dogs. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along. Calypso is up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & spayed!
