Story
Did you know that the ivy plant is a symbol of everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty? An inspiring name for a charismatic pooch such as myself! Being the young lady that I am, an active family would be a match made in heaven! Play time is quite possibly my favorite time of day (sometimes I get a bit carried away with my plushy toys). I like to live life enthusiastically, having a positive direction for my gusto would be the ultimate delight for me! Although physical activity is an absolute riot, having a cool down period with some mental games is a good time too. At the end of the day, I just want to be involved with my people. I am not one to turn down a snuggle session by any means. What can I say, I am a sweetheart after all. I hope to find a family that wants to understand and accepts me for the glorious rescue dog that I am. For instance, I like some other dogs, but not every dog. Smaller dogs (and cats for that matter) remind me of chicken nuggets, I can't help but feel some prey drive there. But some other dogs my own size are fun to hang out and play with. I suppose that its pretty normal to not get along with everyone you meet in life though. Whether or not you are a botanical enthusiast, if you are looking for a forever companion submit your adoption application for the perfect furry addition! DOB: 5/25/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Foster location: Eagle, Michigan Meet Axel! Axel is a super handsome 1.5 year old Cattle Dog mix that is looking for his forever home. He is a very social boy who loves playing with his foster siblings and running with them in the yard, going for walks and meeting new people and then cuddling up on the couch at night with his foster mom. Axel has been attending doggy daycare and loves it! Axel is house and crate trained and walks good on a leash. He is great about chewing on his toys and bones and not getting into things he shouldn’t. Axel would enjoy an active home with another young dog to play with, he has really bonded with his foster siblings and enjoys running and playing with them. Kids make Axel nervous so he is looking for a home without children. Axel is a very sweet and smart boy and catches onto new things quickly, he is young and ready to learn! In order to set him up for success we would recommend his family enroll him in a positive reinforcement training class upon adoption. Axel’s adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, dewormed, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Please follow the instructions to apply for Axel found in the auto-reply you will receive or email adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application. Adopt A Pup is 100% foster-based which means we do not have a centralized facility where you can visit our dogs. The first step towards meeting the dog(s) you are interested is to complete an application. One of our volunteers will contact your references and set up a time between you and the foster to meet and interact with the dog(s) of interest.

Story
Parker is a Male Aussie/Terrier mix DOB: June of 2025 Adoption fee: $200 We are playful pups. We are building confidence each week with increasing one-on-one time with helpful volunteers. Parker is a lovely boy who loves people. Paige might be a little shyer at first, but once she is comfortable in her environment, she is a typical rambunctious pup. Payton is a pistol who has a mind of his own but is very affiliative. Paxton is the voice of the group and has a knack for dramatic scenes. All are very smart and quick learners. These pups would truly be best with a physically fenced-in yard. It may be required. They are not fit for apartment life. Pending a meet and greet, we may do well with another dog, and children 8 years or older (possibly younger pending previous experience). We have not been around cats, with a slow positive introduction and a little obedience training, we should be fine with a dog-savvy cat. These pups will make a great companion for the right situation. We should be medium-sized when fully grown.

Story
Wheeler is a male Aussie/ Malinois DOB: June 11th, 2025 Adoption fee: $200 I am a VERY energetic puppy; my breed mix is very accurate to how I am! I have a huge personality and a large voice to match that. I love to run and play (A LOT), which I need to blow off steam. I do crave attention and will be sure to let you know when we want it. I am a very smart puppy; I need a lot of stimulation to help soothe me. I will need training and am eager to learn. While there is a wild and goofy side to me, there is also a very loving side; I just must get the crazy out first! I am a whole lot of fun! I can be bossy with my siblings, but with people, I am sweet and loving (of course, crazy that is beside the point!) These puppies will require breed experience and a fully fenced yard. They are not fit for an apartment! They should match with another dog pending observation and a meet and greet. These puppies have not been tested with cats at this time; they would not be recommended with small animals due to their prey drive. They are recommended for children 10+ pending observation. These puppies need obedience training and someone with a knowledge of the breed; they need a job to do! Wheeler is already a big puppy, and he will just keep growing. These are not small breed puppies; they will be medium to large fully grown! Wheeler is a great boy; they would enjoy going for walks, running, hiking, and anything active to get their energy out! They would make a great companion for the right people!

While all the above is truly how I am, I can be quite aloof at first, and it may take me some time to get comfortable enough for you to see my true personality.
