Did you know that the ivy plant is a symbol of everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty? An inspiring name for a charismatic pooch such as myself! Being the young lady that I am, an active family would be a match made in heaven! Play time is quite possibly my favorite time of day (sometimes I get a bit carried away with my plushy toys). I like to live life enthusiastically, having a positive direction for my gusto would be the ultimate delight for me! Although physical activity is an absolute riot, having a cool down period with some mental games is a good time too. At the end of the day, I just want to be involved with my people. I am not one to turn down a snuggle session by any means. What can I say, I am a sweetheart after all. I hope to find a family that wants to understand and accepts me for the glorious rescue dog that I am. For instance, I like some other dogs, but not every dog. Smaller dogs (and cats for that matter) remind me of chicken nuggets, I can't help but feel some prey drive there. But some other dogs my own size are fun to hang out and play with. I suppose that its pretty normal to not get along with everyone you meet in life though. Whether or not you are a botanical enthusiast, if you are looking for a forever companion submit your adoption application for the perfect furry addition! Meet Elvin, a charming little oddball with a heart full of love 🐾💖. Elvin enjoys being close to his people, soaking up affection and companionship, but he prefers his personal space rather than being right on top of you. He’s happiest in a calm, quiet home and would do best without young children, where he can relax and feel secure 💕. Elvin can have good days and bad days, but with patience, kindness, and letting him go at his own pace, he truly thrives 💗. He does have a sensitive stomach, but with the right food, regular exercise, and a low-stress routine, he feels his very best 💞. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will blossom in a peaceful home, Elvin may be the perfect match for your heart 💓🐾. - Around 6 years old - Currently under 40lbs - Good with cats and dogs - Good with kids, but prefers a calm/quiet environment - Adoption fee: $100 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
