I adopted Nala from a rescue and she will turn 1 in August. She is super friendly and maybe a little bit too much. She also has lots of energy and I want her to be able to have space to run around and let all that puppy energy lose.

Story
Hello friends Im looking for a new home. My name is ricky . I came home with this family when I was 9weeks old! i didn;t know anything about this breed of dog) They have been good to me and I get along with zeus the other dog and cat miles pretty good. Im 1year old in april. I do have lots of energy and no yard to play in. I need to be watched and interacted with and the kids here are teenagers and do teenage stuff! Im in a kennel all day as mom works and comes home walks me and plays catch but when mom is not home Im in the kennel. He is ok with the pets we have but when trying to re home they had a dog and he was aggressive. So I would recommend no pets. Need someone that will spend time with ricky to train . He is a good dog just need to run and be trained. He is territorial I think but not sure! Im not good with telling things but I just want to give ricky a good home to run and do dogs things. If interested please contact me!

Story
Meet Cooper; She is very sweet girl, who is looking for her fur-ever home. We believe she is around 3-4 years old and is a cattle dog mix. She came to us when her owner passed away and the other owner couldn’t care for her. Due to her breed or mix of breeds we are looking for a very specific home for her where she will be set up best for success! Cooper is pretty reactive towards people on leash and will nip at shins or ankles. She enjoys lots of exercise, biking right now seems to be her favorite. She’d probably do best as an only dog, as loves all the attention on her! She has had some interaction with other dogs on leash and she will correct them if their energy becomes to much for her.   Cooper also needs a kid free home.   We are requiring that her fur-ever home have heeler experience and be committed to getting her the training that she needs. Cooper will also need someone who is willing to do some training with her. **Cooper being a heeler mix does have high herding tendencies, and has a single “bite history” as she nipped someone in the calf.     An approved adoption application is required. The $200 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.June 12, 2024, 5:52 pm

Story
We are looking for a home for our 6 year old Blue Heeler, Renley. He loves to play fetch, snuggle on the couch, and get pets. He does well with our female dog but would do best in a home with no other animals. We are making the heart breaking decision to rehome him due to him displaying aggressive behavior towards our toddler. It is no longer safe for them to be in the same room and it is not fair to him to be kept apart from his family.

Story
Did you know that the ivy plant is a symbol of everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty? An inspiring name for a charismatic pooch such as myself! Being the young lady that I am, an active family would be a match made in heaven! Play time is quite possibly my favorite time of day (sometimes I get a bit carried away with my plushy toys). I like to live life enthusiastically, having a positive direction for my gusto would be the ultimate delight for me! Although physical activity is an absolute riot, having a cool down period with some mental games is a good time too. At the end of the day, I just want to be involved with my people. I am not one to turn down a snuggle session by any means. What can I say, I am a sweetheart after all. I hope to find a family that wants to understand and accepts me for the glorious rescue dog that I am. For instance, I like some other dogs, but not every dog. Smaller dogs (and cats for that matter) remind me of chicken nuggets, I can't help but feel some prey drive there. But some other dogs my own size are fun to hang out and play with. I suppose that its pretty normal to not get along with everyone you meet in life though. Whether or not you are a botanical enthusiast, if you are looking for a forever companion submit your adoption application for the perfect furry addition! DOB: 5/25/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
