Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Sissy is a gorgeous girl who is looking for a home. Sissy is now in a NJ foster home.  Sissy is a happy go-getter of a girl! She's an active girl who enjoys daily exercise. Sissy's DNA revealed she is over 60% cattle dog, rat terrier, lab and supermutt. That explains why she has so much energy and drive! Sissy is a smart girl who needs an active family that can provide physical and mental exercise. The funny part is she looks like a Rat Terrier so we like to joke she is a cattle dog in costume! Sissy likes other dogs and we would love to see her in a home with another dog to play with or perhaps doggie friends nearby. Sissy is young and is still working on some mouthing behaviors trying to herd her favorite people in the absence of cattle so older kids are best. She has learned "sit", "lay down" and is working on "stay". Sissy is very smart and responds very well to training. She loves walks and adventures.  Sissy's foster says she loves napping in the sun in her doggie bed, playdates with other puppers and her new lick mat! Due to Sissy's energy level, a fenced in yard and active family are a must for Sissy. Sissy is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Sissy tested negative for heartworm. Our adoption fee is $400.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Sparkle is a very beautiful girl who is looking for her forever home. She is now in a NJ foster home and doing very well, although she has been diagnosed with epilepsy. She is under the care of the wonderful neurologists at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, and is on epilepsy medication.  Sparkle is a very happy puppy who loves to play and to snuggle.  She loves other dogs and has been great with children and adults. Sparkle is doing great with housetraining.  She weighed 35 lbs at 4 months, so we are estimating that she'll weigh 70 lbs full grown. Sparkle needs a family that will continue to care for her.  The epilepsy medication isn't very expensive (if you use GoodRx and purchase at a human pharmacy), but it will need to be tweaked as she gets larger. She'll need to be tested as she grows to make sure the blood levels of the anti-seizure medications continue to be appropriate. We've been told that the protocol is to test adult dogs with epilepsy every 6 months. Background:  Mom (Spirit) wandered up to the home of an animal lover on Thanksgiving after being dumped nearby. She was very pregnant and huddled behind their barn. This kind family took her into their barn to give her a safe place to have her pups and fostered the sweet family until they came to NJ. The pups were born on December 5, 2023. Mom Spirit is about 40 lbs. We have no info on dad, but he must have been on the larger size since all of the pups are going to be larger than Spirit. Sparkle and her siblings have received their first 4 DHPP vaccines, their rabies vaccine, and treatment for puppy parasites. Wag On Inn will arrange for the pups to be fixed and microchipped when they are approximately 6 months old at the Spay-Neuter center in Holmdel, NJ. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. The adoption fee is $550, which includes their spay/neuter and microchip. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me!
