Story
Sadie is a 2-3 year old cattle dog. She is up to date on vaccinations and looking for a new forever home. Sadie will thrive in a home where she is the only pet. She has not been around children so it is probably best that children, if any, be on the older side. If you are interested in making Sadie part of your family or would like more information, please contact Laura at 908-581-2923 or 1rosepetal23@gmail.com. This is a courtesy post for the owner of this dog.  You will not be adopting from Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue. Please contact the owner directly through the contact info provided above.      November 2, 2025, 5:45 pm

Story
Pearl is a 1-year-old, 45 lb Cattle Dog mix with a heart as bright as her name. She’s a social butterfly who absolutely adores people and thrives in the company of other dogs. Whether it’s romping around with canine pals or greeting new human friends with a wagging tail, Pearl brings joy wherever she goes. This playful pup is always ready for fun and adventure. She’s the kind of dog who turns a simple walk into a delightful outing and a backyard into a playground. Pearl is also eager to learn—she’s curious, attentive, and motivated by praise and treats. With a little guidance, she’ll quickly pick up new skills and become an even more well-mannered companion.Pearl would love a home where she can continue to grow, play, and be part of the action. A meet and greet with any resident dogs is required before adoption, but chances are she’ll win them over in no time. With training, love, and a few tasty rewards, Pearl is sure to shine even brighter in her forever home.If you are interested in meeting Pearl, please complete an Interest Form. An adoption counselor will contact you to schedule an appointment.November 15, 2025, 9:28 am

Story
Meet Cheery! Cherry is a 3-year-old, 60-lb female Red Heeler who loves lots of exercise, would love a job, and will reward her human with cuddles, kisses, and companionship. She is a typical Heeler - incredibly smart, wants to perform, and is the ultimate protector! If a long walk or hike is your thing, Cherry can't wait to join you. When you're done, she will happily snuggle with you on the couch and give you lots of hugs and kisses to let you know how much she appreciates you. If this sounds like a great day to you, then Cherry may be your perfect match! She can get overstimulated by lots going on in her home so she should be the only pet and would prefer to live in a home with adults (older kids may be okay). She tends to find younger children to be a bit too much and is still trying to figure out how strong she actually is so, a home without small children is best. Important note: Cherry needs an adopter that has experience with a herding breed and is willing and able to work with her on some behavior modification. If you are willing to commit to her, she will be the best companion you've ever had! Cherry is currently being fostered in the Corning, NY area. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at Paradise Island in Staten Island from 11am - 3pm! Meet Misty! Misty is a five-year-old, 38 pound Blue Heeler. Misty’s heart is as big as her personality! She’s affectionate, playful, and happiest when she’s close to her people—whether that means cuddling on the couch, giving gentle kisses, or enjoying playtime. Misty is brilliant and eager to learn, mastering “sit” on her very first day. She’s completely housebroken, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and although she can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly with kindness and love. Misty lives to please and absolutely beams when told she’s a good girl. True to her Heeler nature, Misty is intelligent, loyal, and thrives when she has something new to learn or do. She would love an adopter who will keep her mind and body active with adventures, training, or even a “job” to call her own. Misty isn’t picky when it comes to toys or treats—every new toy and treat instantly becomes her favorite. If you’re searching for a devoted companion who will greet you with full-body wiggles, endless affection, and snuggles galore, Misty may be your perfect match! Misty is currently being fostered in Ewing, NJ. Her adoption fee is $475.
