Archie is a sweet, goofy, affectionate boy once he gets to know you. He loves playing with squeaky toys, carrying his stuffed toys around the house and nibbling on pig ear treats (supervised of course). He is happy playing fetch or sniffing around any toys full of treats he can find. He’s an amazing work from home companion and will fall asleep at your feet during the day. You can count on him to want to show off his tricks and will always let you know when he wants to play fetch! Archie has been in Canada for 5 years, having previously arrived with his siblings here as a puppy. Since then, he was adopted but his family added a baby to the household, and poor Archie was not a fan and was quite jealous. Because of this, Archie was surrendered back to us and is currently in foster care looking for a new home without any young kids so he can soak up all the attention. Archie would love to be in a home in the suburbs with a fenced backyard so he can run around and play. He also is fearful of walks, but with a patient and gentle approach he could learn to walk together. While he is working on building his confidence, it would be great if he had a back yard to help him burn off some energy. He is medium energy and currently gets his exercise in the backyard or other fenced in areas. Archie is a flight risk, so is it important he is kept on a leash when not indoors or in a fenced-in area. Archie currently goes on 2 walks per day that last between 10 and 15 minutes but he does need some gentle guidance as he gets distracted about the idea of going home will pull away from loud noises and cars. Archie is very friendly with people he knows and is playful and cuddly. His current family always asks new guests to let Archie come to them when they enter the home, and he soon will come to make a new friend after being initially a little nervous. Archie is comfy around other dogs and behaves well when socializing off leash. He would do well with a canine companion to show him the ropes. At this time Archie has not been given free reign of the house unsupervised but he is potty and crate trained and is comfortable being left alone during the day for up to five hours. He sleeps well throughout the night either in his crate with the door open or on another spot on the floor. He loves predictability and routine and is fearful of loud noises like thunder, fireworks, construction, and loud vehicles. Indoors, he knows commands like sit, come, lie down, spin, speak, and even play dead - he is treat motivated and easy to train to learn more! Outdoors, his nerves get the best of him and he is not as attentive and does not have great recall. He is looking for a family that will continue to work with him on this. Archie has environmental allergies and takes medication for this, which is covered by pet insurance already in place. Adopters can convert this over to them once adopted. If you’re interested in fostering with the intention of adopting Archie, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Archie’s adoption fee is $550. Story
Neo is the cutest little dog you have ever seen. While he is initially nervous (he has come from a meat farm and hasn't been exposed to much of the world), he warms up relatively quickly and begins looking for pats and scratches from people around him. His perfect home has no cats or small animals (he is unsure of them and quite nervous), as well as no dogs as he doesn't like to share his space with other dog friends. He is indifferent to younger, in your face dogs, so no dog parks, no off-leash meetings. Children in his new home will be 12 or older, so that they understand his body language cues and when he's feeling nervous. His new owners will understand that he is a flight risk and will keep him safe and have the patience to gently teach him what it is to be a much-loved pet. Understanding that this will not happen overnight, they will be ok with him taking the time he needs to learn and settle in. Neo needs a fenced in yard, again because of the flight risk. Neo is truly very sweet, and his new owners will be lucky to welcome him into their family.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sweet Zoey came to us as a stray, but as we have gotten to know her, we can't help but wonder if we have a circus star on our hands! She has quite a few tricks under her belt, including sit, down, shake a paw, a quiet speak and even plays dead! She loves working with people, for the right kind of treats, and is just an all-around happy girl. Her perfect home will have a fenced yard, so her bouncy energy is safely contained, can have a dog savvy cat (that won't run, and invite her to chase it) and even possibly a male dog companion that she can hang out with. Zoey would prefer if the kids in her home are on the older side, as certain touches on her body still make her nervous, and older kids are better able to respect her boundaries. She needs a bit of fine-tuning with her tricks and leash walking, so her owners will be committed to taking her to training right away. Zoey is a truly fun and happy dog to be around.

Story
Daisy is currently fostered in Fort Erie Ontario.Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com. All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Daisy was found at a dangerous intersection by a freeway in Texas. She can be nervous when she meets someone new or hears a loud noise, so she would do best in a fairly quiet home in a quiet area. Daisy loves to sleep with you and lay beside you or put her head on top of yours. She is very loving and affectionate with her people. Daisy is listed on her rabies certificate as a German Shepherd mix, however she is truly a Heinz 57. Canadian Foster Update:Daisy's first few days with us she spent very nervous and almost trembling. She certainly needed her quiet time to decompress in her new surroundings until she felt safe. After a couple days she would show us little 'bursts of spirit and confidence' but then return to a nervous demeanor. However on day 4 or 5 something happened....Daisy felt safe....she gained confidence and just like that she showed us her true self! A loving, curious girl that will cuddle in with you to watch TV or run with full out zoomies in the back yard! Daisy is now affectionately called 'Roo', short for kangaroo since she likes to jump and bound in the back yard.If allowed Daisy will try to climb on you (which doesn't fly in our house), but she is very quickly redirected with her toys. She may have some 'Pointer' in her as she loves to track squirrels and will 'point' with both nose and paw. The squirrels fascinate Daisy.Daisy is both dog and cat friendly (currently lives in a home with a cat). On walks, she will give a little bark at some dogs, but passes by others without even noticing. Around the house she will give a bark if she sees or hears something/someone, but it is very mild and quickly redirected. She does not seem to be guarded in any way of her toys or food. She is not overly food/treat motivated.Daisy is fully house has done amazing through her transition to a new home. She sleeps in her crate at night, but we do need to encourage her to go in as she prefers to stay with her people. Once she is in, she does well through the night. We are working on leash manners as she currently pulls and zig-zags. The leash is very workable with some guidance and training. Daisy is a great girl. She loves to go with us for car rides, and settles in for snuggles at night. She is best suited in a home with a back yard where she can run and play.Name: DaisyWeight: ~40lbAge: ~3 yearsGender: FemaleBreed: Mixed breedColour: TanMedical: Had a small cyst on her left shoulder, was removed and cleaned.
