*This dog is scheduled to arrive in Grimsby, Ontario the evening of Friday July 05*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Meet Raleigh! This cutie is a survivor of the mean streets of Texas and is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever family! Our team fell in love with little Raleigh the moment we locked eyes with her. She was sitting up against her kennel door, quiet as a mouse, longing for someone to take her out of the anxious kennel environment. We carried her outside and learned more about her. She had been picked up as a pregnant stray, emaciated and in terrible condition. She was spayed once she entered the shelter and fortunately tested heartworm negative. Raleigh was very sensitive and sweet. She didnt want to explore much; she just wanted to be close and feel safe. She has been in her foster home for about a month now and has really come out of her shell. She is still guarded at first, but once she is comfortable she really shines. She is a super happy girl, is smart and playful. Her foster says that she is a snuggler and can be very affectionate. She is learning how to interact with other dogs, as she seems to be a bit insecure and under socialized, but has absolutely loved playing with the other dogs her size in her foster home. Her future family will need to give her grace, allowing her time to trust and helping her build confidence. She is a very sweet pup and we can't wait to see her find her people!Name: RaleighWeight: ~28lb needs to fill out a little bit moreAge: ~2-2.5 yearsGender: FemaleBreed: Australian Cattle Dog mix Colour: Brown with whiteMedical: Alopecia and hair thinning, no skin infections - will improve with better diet and environment Fixed: YesGood with men: Yes, but takes time to warm up Good with women: Yes, but initially shy Good with kids 12+: Yes Good with dogs: Yes, she has enjoyed playing with dogs about the same size as her - she has been known to chase smaller dogs Good with cats: No, will chase House trained: 90% - has had very few accidents as she transitioned into her foster home Crate trained: Yes, does great Crate reactive: NoFood/toy guarding: None seenWalks on a leash: YesEnergy level: Medium-highRequires detached/single home: Not necessarily Skittish/nervous: Possibly at first Separation anxiety: None seen Barker: Average
