Story
Cindy Lou is a gentle little soul wrapped in quiet bravery and effortless charm. At around 16 weeks old, she’s already showing off big-dog potential in a tiny-pup package. She’s crate trained, settles easily, and treats bedtime like a cozy ritual — one little circle, a fluff of her dog bed, and she’s out like a light. In her foster home, Cindy Lou thrives in good company. She does great with the 6 foster dog siblings she lives with, matching their energy when it’s playtime and soaking up their calm when it’s time to settle. She loves being part of the moment and happily lets her little human foster lay beside her, run in the yard, and join in daily adventures. She’s naturally kid-friendly, social, and easy to handle.Cindy Lou is already a confident traveler — she loads up in the truck on her own and will slowly take a seat on the console, curling in like the world was built for cruising. She adores car rides and settles easily for every mile, whether it’s a quick trip or a long haul down the road.Cats? Completely uninteresting. She couldn’t care less about them. Horses and cows are still a little intimidating and admittedly scary, but she’s learning that big farm friends don’t have to be so frightening when observed from a safe distance. She’ll thrive in a patient, nurturing home that loves peaceful routines and gentle connection. She’s sweet, observant, and brings a grounding calm wherever she lands.Videos:https://youtube.com/shorts/uqUCEDLkKTc?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/ersJ7vm5N2Q?feature=share https://youtube.com/shorts/QE3gIdqNF3c?feature=shareName: Cindy LouBreed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/HoundSex: FemaleAge: 16 weeks, as of 12/28/25Weight: 25lbs , as of 12/28/25Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Story
Betty Lou — The Whoville Wonder with Big Explorer EnergyBetty Lou is bold, curious, and adventure-ready — the kind of pup who walks into a new space like she owns it, tail held high, eyes bright, and heart open. She plays beautifully with other dogs, reads the room like a social pro, and greets humans with a confident, “You’re my people now” energy.Betty Lou is part of the unforgettable Whoville Litter, a sibling group of five found just outside of Memphis. They emerged from the woods late one night — little wonders wandering out of the unknown and into a rescue story that was just beginning. The kindest man scooped them all inside, gave them warmth, and reached out to a PAWS New England volunteer, because he knew their lives deserved a brighter start. At around 4 months old, Betty Lou is healthy, happy, and ready for her next chapter. She’s already: • Great with other dogs • Smart and food-motivated • Making progress in crate training • Full of personality, confidence, and charmShe’ll thrive in a home that loves movement, laughter, and shared experiences. If you want a dog who brings excitement into everyday life, keeps you on your toes (in the cutest way), and makes every outing feel like an adventure — she’s your girl.Name: Betty LouBreed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/HoundSex: FemaleAge: 16 weeks, as of 12/28/25                                                                                                             Weight: 24lbs ,as of 12/28/25                                                                                                             Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Story
Maxine is the heart of the Whoville litter — playful, affectionate, and beautifully observant. At around 4 months old, she’s thriving in foster care and showing us more of her gentle, intentional personality every day.She loves romping and playing with her siblings, but what she craves most is one-on-one time with her human. Maxine adores being held and cuddled like a baby — belly-up snuggles, soft conversations, and dramatic shoulder sighs included. She’s the kind of pup who bonds deeply, listens closely, and happily follows her person from room to room just to stay connected. This little family didn’t arrive by sleigh from Whoville, but they did come from right outside of Memphis, Tennessee. Late one night, all five puppies wandered out of the woods and into the care of the kindest man, who brought them inside, gave them warmth, and reached out to PAWS New England volunteers to help change their story. Now safe, adored, and foster-loved, Maxine is ready for her own forever home.Ideal Home: • Values meaningful connection and bonding • Enjoys snuggles, playtime, and gentle affection • Doesn’t mind a sweet little shadow by their side • Has room in their heart for a loyal, loving companion.Maxine is more than ready — she’s meant for someone who will adore her as much as she adores them. Story
McGerkle is the standout spark of the Whoville litter — playful, confident, and finally ready for a real home of his own.His most charming feature? The two-toned ticking spots on his front two legs — a unique blend of lighter and darker freckles that look like they were hand-painted just for him. It’s his signature detail — instantly recognizable and impossible to forget. But it’s more than good looks with this boy. McGerkle has the sweetest heart — a gentle, loving, old-soul softness wrapped in a true “boy dog” spirit. He craves human companionship and wants to be part of the action, but he’s also independent enough to explore the world at his own pace — nose-first, curiosity-led, and always observant. He’s crate trained, great on a lead, and walks like a pro. On a leash, he’s focused and respectful — but off the lead? That classic “boy dog energy” kicks in. He’s goofy in all the right ways, solid in all the important ones, and exactly what you picture when you say “boy dog” — loyal, playful, slightly mischievous, and full of heart. Now safe, healthy, and thriving in foster care, McGerkle is ready to take his freckled-leg charm, sweetest heart, and bold curiosity to a home that will adore him for a lifetime.Name: McGerkleBreed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/HoundSex: MaleAge: 16 weeks, as of 12/28/25Weight: 28lbs, as of 12/28/25Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Story
Groopert is the calm, car-riding, charm-wrapped sweetheart of the Whoville litter. He loves cruising beside his humans, watching the world roll by, and bringing his naturally easygoing energy wherever he goes.Groopert is thriving in foster care, where he lives happily with two adult male dogs who’ve shown him the rhythm of home life, and a kind, animal-loving 13-year-old girl who he adores. He has blended into family life beautifully and enjoys being part of the everyday flow — calm mornings, laid-back evenings, and all the little moments in between.Like any 4-month-old pup, Groopert enjoys playtime, but what sets him apart is his impressive house manners and gentle confidence. He loves exploring new spaces with curiosity, but he’s also perfectly content to observe the world quietly from his favorite spot beside his people.Groopert is crate trained, walks well on a lead, and already carries himself like a pup who understands the comfort and structure of home. He brings joy without the chaos — a puppy who can play, wander, and settle with equal ease. And that face? Certified heart-melter. The kind that stops you mid-scroll and whispers straight to your heart, “I’m the one.”If you’re looking for a pup who loves car rides, bonds deeply with his humans, respects the home, enjoys adventure without the wild streak, and carries a calm, charming soul — Groopert is ready to claim his forever seat in your heart and your car.Name: GroopertBreed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/HoundSex: MaleAge: 16 weeks, as of 12/28/25Weight: 25lbs, as of 12/28/25Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Macy’s Marvelous Four — Pure Joy and Puppy Charm These four little ones are growing up wrapped in the kind of love every puppy deserves. Their mama, Macy, is a small to medium girl (30 lbs at most), and she is one of the sweetest, quietest, most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. She dotes on her babies with her whole heart — calm, patient, tidy as can be — and her nurturing spirit shows in her puppies. Because they’ve grown up with Macy’s steady love and their favorite two-legged jungle gym (that’s you ), these pups are incredibly socialized, confident, and happy. They’ve never known fear, only safety. They trust people, adore affection, and are learning that life is a wonderful adventure. Full-grown size will depend on who daddy was, but they may end up close to Macy’s size. What we can guarantee is this:   They’ll be loving. They’ll be joyful. They’ll be wonderful family companions. These babies will fit beautifully into almost any home — playful, affectionate, eager to bond, and ready to become someone’s heart for life. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. If you would like to find out more please email or call Diane at... diane@ulpr.org or 870-577-3744.   Please email us at diane@ulpr.org and request an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 27, 2025, 2:24 pm
