Story
Meet Row Row Rosie! She is a young girl, but has such a calm demeanor....and such a perfect size at 35 pounds! This gorgeous pup was found as a stray in a very rural area of Tennessee. No one claimed her after almost 2 months of searching. Our southern rescuer thinks she grew up on a farm. Rosie can get along with any dog, big or small. She is not big on physical playing with other pups, however, she loves a good game of tug-of-war.She has been introduced to cats and does well if they are low energy, but she will chase if they run and will react if the cat comes after her. She is not aggressive and never injured the cat, even though it was running and hissing at her. She could live with a low energy cat She would prefer a lower-key home without too much commotion, but handles the chaos in her current foster home quite well. She startles easily, but is not reactive. She will grumble if the dogs pester her.Rosie kennels on command and will bark if she is ready to get out. She is not destructive or an escape artist. If left out, she is a great house guest, she is potty trained (with a doggie door) and does not get into anything. She rarely gets on the furniture and sleeps on the floor next to the bed. She also loves to spend time outside sunbathing. Rosie gets grumbly and vocal if things get too rough. She is not hyper, by any means, but when she gets excited her herding instincts kick in, so watch your ankles! She can be mouthy and rough when her humans play with her, but it is all fun and games. However, for this reason, we recommend older children for Rosie. Rosie would do best with someone/a family who understands cattle-dog mentality of herding, talkyness, and behavior. She minds well on a leash, keeps tension at first and will loosen when asked. Rosie also listens quite well off-leash.She loves the car and will ride all day if you let her....just an overall great girl!Name: Row Row RosieBreed: Cattle Dog MixSex: FemaleAge: 2 years (estimated)Weight: 35.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing.
