Beau is a sensitive soul whose world has been turned upside down. Beau was very loved in his former home but he found himself at the animal shelter when one of his owners passed away and the other was unable to continue caring for him. At 5 years old, he is full of energy, playful and enjoys the company of those who share his zest for life. Beau is not immediately comfortable with new people but when introduced by someone he knows and trusts, he warms up quickly and is happy to hang with the new member of his circle. Beau has not lived with or been around young children and he has not lived with other dogs. We're still figuring out his feelings about other dogs. Beau would very much like to chase squirrels, rabbits and even birds so we won't be placing him in a home with cats or small animals. Beau is neutered and current on vaccinations.

Curly is an adorable young Cattle Dog Mix who is eagerly looking for a forever home. With her calm and quiet demeanor, Curly has won the hearts of everyone she meets. She possesses a loving nature especially once she forms a bond with her human companions. How did Curly come into the ArkanPaws program? There is a video of her walking across a bridge with several other abandoned dogs in an area known for dumping unwanted pets. The ArkanPaws volunteer returned with live traps and by the next morning she was secured. At first, she was afraid and it took about one week to win her trust. She still is shy when initially meeting strangers but warms quickly when she feels safe. One of Curly's most endearing qualities is her gentle and sweet nature. She approaches life with a relaxed attitude, always ready to take things at her own pace. While she may initially be reserved, it doesn't take long for her to warm up to people, and once she does, her affection knows no bounds. She enjoys being petted and following people around the yard How did Curly get here name? Her cute little tail is what she is named for! Her appearance is very unique with her dappled short coat and corkscrew like tail. Her coat sheds very little and is easy to maintain. Curly will do best with older kids who are eight years old and up. She’s learning to like toys and has a zest for treats. With proper interaction, she has the potential and curiosity to engage in play. She's doing very well with the cats Curly is curious, but does not advance, or act aggressive in any way with them. She’s crate trained and still trying to master potty training. Curly walks very well on a leash. She is fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, all core vaccinations, and has been examined by a licensed veterinarian. Her current weight is a healthy 38 pounds. Her adoption fee is $450, which covers her transport and all of the vetting she has received. She has been tested for heartworms and the result was negative. Hello, our names are Carson (m), Bridger (m), and Colton (m). We are the cutest, sweetest, funniest, silliest babies you have ever met. We are like watching a three ring circus never knowing who is going to do what. But, the more you laugh, the sillier we are. We are not bonded siblings. We live with other rescue pups. Here at my foster mom's place, there are adult dogs, cats & kittens, a horse and a rooster. She has a creek running through the property which is good because we LOVE water. Our lives began in a rural community. The man who owned my parents was not responsible. So, here we are. But the bad part is, he could not hardly pay for food, vetting our three boys, or fixing our parents. He could not even give us flea/ tick prevention or heartworm prevention for our parents. The kind lady who was notified about us took us into her rescue. Today we are fed, full vetting is being done, flea/ tick prevention along with heartworm prevention is being given.
