Story
💙Meet Redmont Redmont is a Australian Cattle Dog/Pittie mix named after the Birmingham neighborhood he wandered as a stray dog for at least a week, capturing the attention of all the residents. After outsmarting many neighbors who tried to catch him, he was finally captured when he followed another dog into a fenced-in yard. Although he was very scared of humans at the time, his love of other dogs helped lead him to a better place. 🐾 He’s been in a foster home for several months now, and with the help of professional assistance and dedicated foster parents, he has transformed from a skiddish dog scared of all humans into a dog who will approach people with his tail wagging.🐕‍🦺 His foster parents find it remarkable that even though he was so scared of them, he never once growled or snapped at them. He’s a very gentle, sweet dog who plays really well with the other dogs in his foster home. He would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, and would be fine with another dog who is more of the alpha. He’s looking for guidance from the other dogs around him, and will walk away when another dog corrects him. He may look muscular and tough, but he’s really a softy. Redmont is estimated to be about a year old. When he plays with other dogs, you can really see his youthful energy. But after playtime, he’s happy to chill and take a nap. This smart boy is completely house trained! Redmont loves going for walks, and walking was one of the biggest factors in his transformation. His foster parents want him to go to a home where his new family is committed to walking him daily (weather permitting). They also would prefer a home with a fenced yard. While he has improved so much in just a few months, certain noises still scare him and he might have the tendency to run away when scared. He is not an escape artist, though, so a fenced yard would be sufficient to keep him safe. Redmont’s foster mom wanted to document his journey for all the neighbors who became so invested in him, so she created an Instagram account (redmont_the_dog) for the neighbors to follow his progress. Please check it out if you want to get a better sense of how he has transformed into the special dog he is today. 🫶

Story
Look at this beauty - she's been waiting a long timeWe believe the reason she's not gained any attention is because at first she was considered a flight risk but not more - she's so much more comfortable in her foster home she's not going anywhere until her new forever home is found. She's also doing great with her leash walking which was a roadblock before - again, foster family prevails and she's got it down!!She is a beautiful girl, loves toys, treats, and playing with her housemate mix of fosters and residents. This beautiful and intelligent cattle dog mix is ready to find her forever family.Noelle is crate trained, going in willingly and settling down quickly. She is also housetrained. Noelle can now be trusted uncrated at home when alone for short periods of time. Noelle would do best in a house with a confident dog sibling as she loves them. Cats - sure thing Dogs - even more so - she loves them.Sweet Noelle was a stray who was running around in the very frigid weather of December 2022, very, very pregnant. A southern foster home was secured for her, but Noelle chewed through her leash and ran as she was being dropped off there. For almost a week, rescuers frantically searched for her and her impending litter. She was finally found under a local house, where she had already given birth to 11 puppies!!! This time, she was brought safely to her foster home along with her family. Story
This gorgeous lady was found as a stray in a very rural area of Tennessee. The details of her past are unknown. Rosie's story began the day she was rescued. While in foster care, Rosie lived with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Rosie is not a big player but enjoys a good tug-of-war. Sometimes, Rosie becomes startled when resident dogs get rowdy. When that happens, she reacts appropriately with a grumble. Rosie has been introduced to cats and did well with laid-back cats that ignored her. More reactive cats experienced a game of chase. Overall, Rosie was very tolerant even when the cat hissed at her. Rosie is adaptable, well-mannered, and intelligent. She kennels on command and will bark if she is ready to get out. If left out, she is a great house guest, potty trained (with a doggie door), and does not get into anything. She rarely gets on the furniture and sleeps on the floor beside the bed. Rosie minds well on a leash, keeps tension at first, and will loosen when asked. Her hereditary breed traits kick in when Rosie gets excited, so watch your ankles! She can be mouthy and a bit rough when her humans play with her, but it is truly all fun and games. Rosie's ideal adopter includes an active caretaker who enjoys an active outside healthy lifestyle within the herding breed experience. If you find cattle-dog traits redeeming values, this is your dream dog!Name: Row Row RosieBreed: Cattle Dog MixSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 43lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Completed treatment Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Yes, only if dog-savvy and non-reactive to dogs presenceAdoption Fee: $400.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
💕 HALLIE 🎀 Mama Hallie is the sweetest, most affectionate girl. Now that her puppies have found their homes, it’s her turn! Hallie and her sister, Annie, were pulled from the euthanasia list at a local shelter in June. A week after they were pulled, we realized Hallie was expecting! She was the sweetest mama 🫶 Hallie is about 60lbs and about 2-3 years old. She loves going for walks, chasing squirrels in the backyard, and curling up on a bed by her foster mom’s desk. She plays wonderfully with the six other dogs in her foster home. She’s sweet, loving, and so affectionate 🥰
