Story
Barkley is a sweet, affectionate, and loyal boy who loves to be with his people and explore the outdoors. He is looking for a loving home where he can be the only pet. He is gentle with children but should be supervised. He is fully house trained and can be left alone for 8 hours at a time but has a history of separation anxiety and would do best to have someone at home with him for the first several days at least. Barkley is very calm but can get excited around new people (or when getting ready to go for a walk) and jump up, but he responds well to being pushed back down. He never tolerated being crated or shut in a room, however, he does well when left inside with free run of the house. Having a fenced yard would be ideal for him as he is very independent when outdoors and does not have a reliable recall. He loves to go for walks and jogs! He tends to pull at first when on leash but settles after a few minutes. While on walks, he is non-reactive and friendly when greeting other dogs.

Story
Buddy is a registered ACD (red heeler) and is a working dog. The Australian Cattle Dog (ACD), also known as a Blue Heeler or Red Heeler, is a medium-sized, intelligent, and energetic herding dog developed in Australia for herding cattle over long distances. They are known for their loyalty, courage, and athleticism, requiring significant daily exercise and mental stimulation. ACDs have a distinctive double coat that can be blue or red speckled, and they form strong bonds with their families but can be reserved with strangers and may nip at children if not properly socialized.  Buddy belonged to my granddaughter and when she moved into her apartment she was unable to keep him, her parents already had 3 other dogs and they couldn't either. She asked me to take him until we could find him a good home, suitable for his energy. I am unable to keep him as I am older, autoimmune disease, and getting ready to move. We want him to go to a loving home, who will work with him

Story
I recently lost my dad and I’m trying to find a home for his dog, Bud. He’s an 8-year-old Australian Cattle Dog, about 55 lbs — smart, loyal, and full of heart. Bud adores people and kids, loves car rides, hiking, camping, playing ball, and splashing in water. He knows all his basics (sit, stay, heel, roll over, drop, and more). Bud is healthy, neutered, and comes with everything — food, bowls, leashes, collars, toys, blankets, even a crate if needed. He’s currently living with other dogs but sometimes clashes with dominant ones, and he doesn’t do well with cats or dog parks. He deserves a home where he can be part of someone’s everyday life — ideally with room to run, play, and ride along on adventures. This is an incredibly hard situation, and finding the right home for Bud would mean so much to us. He’s near the Greenville, SC area but can travel for the right fit.
