Story

Skye was found abandoned and adopted 6 years ago. She has been an inside dog, but does enjoy walks. She has been living almost exclusively with one person for most of her life. She is friendly, but has not been around children very much so can't really attest to how she will do in a family with kids. However, cattle dogs do love to herd whether it's kids or animals and Skye definitely has those traits! She loves to press against your legs and try to "herd" you. Skye needs a loving home because her owner just cannot care for her any longer. She has to be left alone for extended periods of time now which is not fair to her. She also has a skin condition since Dec that has gotten out of control. She saw a vet and was treated for yeast overgrowth on her skin, but despite antibiotics, diet changes, and hygiene it has not gotten much better. That is another reason for having to rehome her. Financially, her owner just cannot afford to give her the care she deserves.Please give her a chance!
