Story
How do you describe Lucy?  Is it her sweet face or her piercing eyes that capture your attention? Either way, you won’t regret meeting her. Whether you’re looking for a sweetie to snuggle with or an enthusiastic walking buddy…. She’s your girl! Lucy loves the outside, walks well on leash, loves long walks and does well during car rides. She loves people and gets along well with other dogs; however, she shows a lot of curiosity when it comes to smaller prey animals. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. So, this lovely girl is ready to find her forever family. Could that be with you? Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support y listens well and is calm when being leashed. She loves to beour rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2452620##

Story
Meet Freya! She had her puppies April 10, 2025. The puppies will be a mix of Lab and Australian shepherd! Freya will be nursing her puppies until they are 8 weeks old, so she won't be able to go home until then. However, you can come meet her and adopt her at any time! You can pick her up once the puppies reach 8 weeks of age. The adoption fee for this Australian shepherd mix is $295. Adoption fee includes first vaccines, deworming, started on heartworm meds, spay or neuter, vet check, microchip. Our adoption fees are higher on the designed breeds to help offset costs for sick or injured pets. All funds go to helping pets. To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. For more information about CARE and to see our adoption application, go to our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org
