Story
22Jun25 **Meet Marina** **Background** Marina was rescued after being found abandoned in a local Memphis parking lot with her puppy. The Good Samaritan who found them is keeping the puppy, but due to her male dog's less-than-friendly attitude toward Marina, she's been separated while fostering. This amazing foster is making it work despite the challenges, knowing that the shelter is over capacity and that every little bit helps. **Personality** Marina is super sweet and affectionate, with a lovable spirit that makes her a great companion. She adores kids, making her an excellent choice for families! She's also cat-friendly, fitting easily into a multi-pet household to spread her charm all around! While she enjoys playtime, she's not the most rambunctious dog; she doesn't require someone to run her miles a day. Marina has met a few dogs that aren't her rude male foster sibling and has been good with them so far! She's a very patient mama and a good sport as her puppy has entered the "tornado phase." Marina is easygoing and adaptable, making her a wonderful first-time dog for any new pet owner. **Fun Fact** Marina is named after the artist Marina Abramović, reflecting her creative spirit and unique personality! She embodies a laid-back and fun vibe. With her winning personality, she'll be the life of the party, even if she has to teach a few other pets how to share the spotlight! "I'm ready to love and be loved!" **Looking for** A loving forever home where she can thrive and bring joy to her new family! If you're interested in meeting Marina or learning more about her, please contact us!

Story
Updated 29Jul25 Meet Jet A one-year-old canine superstar whose exact breed remains a mystery—possibly a mix of Black German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog—but we do know he is absolutely stunning. History This handsome fellow was found roaming the streets with his playful puppy sidekick. Honestly, who can say no to a dashing male dog strutting around with an adorable little companion? Their adventures took a surprising turn when they ended up in a high-kill shelter—definitely not the vacation they had in mind! Thankfully, a Good Samaritan recognized Jet's charm and rescued him just in time. Personality With his gorgeous looks and undeniable confidence, Jet struts around like he owns the place, often striking dramatic poses that would make any model jealous. He’s expressive and intelligent, capable of delivering the "I’m starving" look that could make any chef weep. Jet is a Velcro dog in the making, always wanting to be close to his humans and enjoy their company. Life After Rescue Fortunately, the puppy quickly found a loving home, which must have given Jet a sense of peace, allowing him to start his own adventures without the extra responsibility of a sidekick. While crate training and potty training are still in the works, Jet knows how to sit (especially if treats are involved) and is currently working on his leash manners, mastering the art of “walking in circles.” He’s unfazed by other dogs and people. Favorite Activities He absolutely loves car rides, insisting on being the co-pilot and taking his job very seriously. Additionally, he enjoys learning new tricks and commands, always eager to impress his humans and show off his intelligence. Jet is a once-in-a-lifetime gem of a dog. With a personality like his, life is never dull, especially now that he can embrace his solo adventures! He is ready to find his forever home where he can share his love and joy.
