Story
Meet Ellie!! Meet Ellie, the adventurous Blue Heeler! At just over a year old and 37 pounds, Ellie is a bundle of energy and joy. She's the perfect playmate in the yard and adores the company of dogs, cats, and children alike. But her favorite pastime? Snuggling up with her favorite human! While she's a bit of a mischief-maker with her occasional counter surfing, Ellie more than makes up for it with her obedience skills. She's mastered commands like sitting and coming when called, and she's always eager to learn more, especially if treats are involved! Plus, she's a pro at kennel, potty, and leash training, making her the ideal adventure buddy. In her kennel, she's remarkably quiet and content, ready for whatever exciting escapade comes her way! Ellie is up to date on vaccines, spayed, on HW negative and on prevention and microchipped! If you are living in a condo or apt and have weight restrictions on pets please be aware that we can not guarantee adult size! Ellie is currently in TN but will be transported north to New England for adoption. The adoption donation is $450 which includes a health certificate and costs for the transport north. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please go to www.angelsamongusanimalrescue.org and fill out an online adoption application. Thank you! *Please note that while we do our best to accurately state the breed or breed mix of a dog, we often have very limited information to draw from. Identifying the breed without pedigrees and information on heritage can be very challenging! Massachusett's Residents: Effective September 28, 2017 a Quarantine Fee of $100 will be required (in addition to the adoption fee) to adopt a dog that has been Quarantined. Massachusetts mandates that all dogs entering MA shall be quarantined for 48 hours in a state approved facility.

Story
Lita came in as a stray early November who was never claimed by her owners. She is now ready to find a forever family and hopes to never land in a shelter again! When Lita first arrived at the shelter, everyone thought she was a young puppy due to her size and excitable nature, but we were WRONG! Lita has all of her adult teeth and is at least a year old. If you're looking for a dog who will be forever young, Lita is your girl! She is definitely a go with the flow type of pup, and everything she does has a bit of spunkiness to it. Lita just loves life, people and wants to soak in all the experiences she can get. We won't lie, she can be a little over the top with her energy at times, but she is treat motivated and willing to learn. Lita just has a lot of drive with nowhere to put it, and would do really great if she had a job to do or could live with a family who had a pretty active lifestyle already. The BEST thing for Lita would be for her to live in a house with other dogs who she could play with. She really enjoys canine company, and would make a great pal to the dog you may already have. Despite her energy, she is pretty great with kiddos as well. December 25, 2023, 12:06 am

Story
Dozer is 1 year old and about 50lbs. He thrives on love and attention from his humans. He likes balls of all sizes,  fuzzy toys and friends to play with. This  boy will make a  wonderful addition to a loving, fun family! Dozer is an active boy, that will do best in a home with another dog for him to play with. He does like to chase cats if they run but also plays gently if they give him a chance. He is great with the foster puppies in his home. He teaches the babies how to play, and watches over them. He is a smart and handsome guy. He is leash, kennel, and house trained. Expensive toys aren't necessary for this sweet boy as sticks are biscuits favorite! He'll pick them up, run with them, and fetch them. Dozer  rides very well, and his favorite place to go to is Tractor Supply. He loves meeting people and being the center of attention. Dozer is ready for adoption. He is completely vetted. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee is $225.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Dozer here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook!
