Story
Meet Gadget! Wiggles, wags, and lots of happy kisses make up this adorable little guy! Gadget is a handsome heeler mix with an estimated birthday of 05/01/2023, weighing in around 45lbs. Gadget sports the cutest freckled coat that stands out in any season, and his personality does not disappoint! He loves to make new friends at every turn, and is about as social as they come. Gadget may not be much good at tech support like his name suggests, but this guy will be your moral support any day! He is always happy to greet you with a wiggly tail and a few kisses for good measure. Gadget loves the company of kids, and does great with most other dogs too. Of course, we always require a meet and greet if you already have any dogs in the family. He is suited to a home without cats.  Gadget is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $175. Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387  ##2216958##

Story
Meet Betelgeuse!  Come Mister tally man, tally me banana! Daylight come and he wanna go home. Betelgeuse is a charming heeler mix ready for his own home to haunt. He was born roughly 05/15/2024, and is still growing into his ears! This little guy came to us as a wandering stray brought in by animal control, nervous as can be. With a couple of yummy snacks and some good snuggles, this fella decided being spoiled is his jam. Betelgeuse is a social little spectre, he leaves a great first impression with anyone he meets. Adults? great. Kids? You betcha. Cats? Good with him! Other dogs? That's just more friends! Of course, if you already have any dogs in the home, a meet and greet is required. Although he may not be able to phase through walls and ride sandworms in your livingroom, say his name three times and Betelgeuse may just come home with you! Betelgeuse is fully vetted and microchipped, but not yet neutered. His adoption fee is $175 + a refundable $75 neuter deposit.  Interested? Call 615-446-7387 ##2216996##

Story
Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Meet Miss Princess!  This 8 year old 30 lbs gem had a horrible life prior to joining the Cavalry.  She was part of a hoarding case where the family had way too many dogs and could not properly take care of them.  Because of this Princess and her doggie family ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter.  She was a thin has could be and very weak.  Miss Cheryl and her mom Ruth felt sorry for her and decided to rescue her.  An immediate trip to the vet was scheduled.  Princess was diagnosed with long term untreated diabetes.  This was the reason she was so thin.  What a sham that no one noticed the symptoms but them.  Poor Princess almost died.  Her vet was truly amazed that she lived.  Her diabetes is now under control and she has gained weight.  Princess is one of the sweetest dogs ever.  She is a true love bug and so very grateful for the love and care she has received.  She is thriving and would make someone a great pet.  Unfortunately as a result of the diabetes Princess has limited vision.  She is amazing though.  After she gets the 'lay of the land' you would never know it.  She does not bump into things and can navigate stairs up and down.  It truly is amazing.  She is a very loving dog who just wants to be with her people.  If you want a canine shadow then she is the one for you.  Despite her lack of vision, Princess enjoys walking and you would never know her sight is limited.  She is a dog that you could take any where.  Princess loves to ride in the car an is always up for a trip just about any where.  She has been on several with her foster family.  She is housebroken and crate trained.  She is also trained to sit patiently snacking on a baby carrot when it is shot time.  The distraction of the carrot does the trick so giving the insulin shot is not a problem.  She is good with other dogs her size and age but not young rambunctious puppies or dogs.  She would also be fine as an only dog.  She would be happy to soak up all the attention.  If you would like to give a home to a wonderful special needs dog, Princess is the one for you.  To be considered for her forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
My name is Pauley and I would love to be your BFF kind of family member.   I am 4 months old and they tell me that I am a ONE OF A KIND sort of puppy.  My colors and my dazzling blue eyes and ears that are going to be unpredictable (will they go up or stay down)  is what makes everyone stop and turn around to take a look at me.  I honestly love everyone and every creature that I meet.  God just made me to be a happy boy inside and out.  I really like dogs, cats and I adore children.  I never meet a stranger that I didn't like.  They say that I am a forgiving pup and I have had some hard times and things done to me that most dogs would never forgive.  But all that is in the past.  I just feel that I must be kind and show people what the true love of a dog can feel like. They say it is hard to know exactly what kind of breeds are in my background but I know that they tell me I am different and very special.  I am almost 20 pounds and probably headed to being a 45 pound adult when I am fully grown. I am learning about crates, housebreaking schedules to follow and I have mastered walking on a leash.  I am ready NOW for a home and so here I am !!!!   If you want to make me a part of your life please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  I promise to be loyal through and through to YOU!        ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Story
Say hello to our very sweet Red Heeler mix boy that we call Bert! This handsome boy is only 6 months old and weighs 27 pounds and was born in a barn in rural Middle Tennessee to a Heeler momma who was barely hanging to life.  She was nursed back to health and has found a home already. Without knowing who dad is, we might just say that he is a “Heinz 57” Heeler mix boy that is destined to be a 35 pound dog when fully grown.  What you realize about Bery when you meet him is that he is a little shy and follows like a shadow.  He is needing some very specific one on one attention and confidence building.  He would thrive in a home with lots of loving people and even other pets are welcomed like cats or dogs.  He is very accustomed to lots of busy hustle and bustle in the foster home and this is a good thing.  He just wants to be by your side and follow you around.  We will say up front that he does not have a lot of leash practice.  His busy foster mom has been moving in to a new house and she fosters cats and other dogs and stays a little tied up with running her own business from home AND being a busy foster to multiple abandoned cats and dogs.  Bert is a healthy boy and is neutered and had all his shots finished and microchipped and dewormings done. Bert loves to play and frolic with his brother Ernie who looks more like a Red Heeler even than Bert.  If you know about the Heeler breed, you will read that they are devoted and  extremely smart.  One of the smartest breeds of dogs on the planet.  In his foster home Bert is more outgoing than when in new outside the home situations.  That will change with some practice in taking him places.   We predict that Bert will be one of those never to be forgotten  family pets that will stand out in a family’s mind as one of the best dogs they ever owned.   BERT IS HOUSEBROKEN AND CRATE TRAINED….and rides like a champ in the car.   We love his brindle red coloring and his very unique and funky ears that may change shape still as he grows.  Please write to us and tell us where you live when asking about Bert.   Critter Cavalry Rescue woud like to have you email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for the application. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
Meet Daisy May and Dixie!  These two sweet loves are searching for the perfect place to live out their lives together. These lovely girls have been together since they were just little puppies, and are practically joined at the hip! Daisy and Dixie sport equally soft and puffy coats, and they both are eager to find a home to give them all the love they deserve. These ladies were adopted from us back in 2022 as pups, but sadly their family's life evolved and they were no longer suited to the home. Now, they are back with us and we get to see what lovely girls they grew up to be!  Dixie is a medium-sized Australlian Shepherd mix, she was born 08/19/2022. We originally met Miss Dixie when she was just a couple of weeks old, back in the late summer of 2022. Her and her litter of siblings were found dumped in a tote at a gas station in the outskirts of Dickson. Back then, she went by Loretta Lynn, but we think Dixie suits her just fine. Dixie can be a little slower to warm up to new faces than her soul-sister Daisy, but give her an extra moment and let her see Daisy May getting loved on and she warms up just the same. Dixie has every bit of intelligence you would expect from her breed, she knows her name and basic commands like "sit".  Daisy May and Dixie both do well with other dogs, but as always we require meet and greet if you already have any dogs in the home. They have not recently been tested with cats, but they do well with children. They are both fully vetted and spayed. Their adoption fee is $175. Interested? Give us a call at 615-446-7387.  ##1552150##
