Story
Hey there! I'm Ace, a handsome Australian Cattle Dog mix with a whole lot of energy and personality! I'm sweet as can be once I get to know you, but I need an experienced dog owner who can keep up with my active lifestyle and help me stay on track. I'm definitely not for first-time dog owners—I'm smart, strong, and sometimes a little selective with my dog friends, so I’ll need a human who can guide me. I’d do best in a home with older kids (12+) who can handle my enthusiasm and energy levels!I *love* to play—whether it's fetch, tug-of-war, or just running around, I’m always up for some fun. I’m also a *super chewer*, so I need lots of good toys to keep me busy and entertained (no cheap squeakers, please—I’ll destroy them!). Walks? YES! I’m all about those—if you love long walks or hikes, I’ll be right there beside you. And one last thing: I’m not a fan of cats, so I’d prefer to have a cat-free home. If you’re looking for a loyal, active, and handsome guy who’s ready to show you all the love and adventure you can handle, I could be your perfect match! Let’s get moving!

Story
Diego is a loving, affectionate boy who melts hearts wherever he goes! He greets staff and volunteers at his kennel with tail wags, hoping for scratches and belly rubs—his absolute favorite. This gentle guy thrives on cuddles and is always ready to share his love. Not only is Diego a people-lover, but he also does great with other dogs. He’s super easy on the leash, making walks a breeze, and he’s calm and well-mannered when going in and out of his kennel. Plus, with his stunning green eyes, he’s as handsome as he is sweet!

Story
Meet Clark! Clark is an adorable and sweet Blue Heeler that is approximately 3-5 years old. He has typical dense heeler fur that he loves to have you scratch. He loves attention and can be ok with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He has been exposed to cats and will leave them alone. He is not recommended for homes with small children because he can be protective of his food, treats, and people. He is overall just a sweet, cuddly, friendly, and fun little guy once he warms up to his person / people. It will take time for him to adjust in his new home so his new people need to be patient and loving. If you are looking for an only dog to be your bestest snuggle buddy, please submit an application at forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any potential adopter must meet him here.

Aurora came to us on one of the coldest, snowiest days of the year. Her previous owners informed us that she lived outside on a chain her whole life. The pictures we received of her standing in the snow were enough for us; we knew this girl deserved more! Since Aurora joined the AHHS, we have discovered what a loving, happy dog this is! She is joyful and friendly to every dog, cat, and human that crosses her path. Yes, she's considered a senior, but don't let that fool you! She's got quite a lot of energy and LOVES playing outdoors! She would make someone the best hiking buddy ever. Aurora deserves a home in which she can live out the rest of her years comfortably and, most importantly, indoors! If you feel that Aurora might be a good addition to your family, do not hesitate to apply at ahhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ or email Halee@ahhumanesociety.org with any questions!March 7, 2025, 2:49 pm
