Story
Meet Happy! Happy is a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler mix with a gentle heart and so much love to give. She can be shy and slow to warm up when meeting new people, especially men, but with a little patience and kindness, her sweet personality quickly shines through. Once she trusts you, Happy absolutely loves affection, cuddles, and spending time with her favorite people.Happy is an active girl who enjoys exploring the world around her. She's somewhat leash trained but can get excited and pull a bit as she heads toward her next adventure. She would thrive with a family that can give her regular exercise, a consistent routine, and positive reinforcement to help build her confidence. She does well with select other dogs, would do best with older children, and her compatibility with cats is unknown. Happy is crate-trained, mostly house-trained, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and microchipped.Happy is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time she needs to blossom. In return, you'll gain a loyal, affectionate companion who will fill your days with love, cuddles, and plenty of happy moments.

Story
Hey there! I'm Ace, a handsome Australian Cattle Dog mix with a whole lot of energy and personality! I'm sweet as can be once I get to know you, but I need an experienced dog owner who can keep up with my active lifestyle and help me stay on track. I'm definitely not for first-time dog owners—I'm smart, strong, and thrive with someone who understands working breeds.I need to be the only dog in my home. While I love my people, I do not do well with other dogs and will need a home where I don't have to share my space with any canine companions.I think I'd do best in a home with older kids (16+). I LOVE to play—whether it's fetch, tug-of-war, or just running around, I'm always up for some fun. I'm also a SUPER CHEWER, so I need plenty of durable toys to keep me busy and entertained. No cheap toys for me—I can make quick work of them!Walks? YES! I'm all about them. If you enjoy long walks, hikes, or outdoor adventures, I'll be right beside you every step of the way.One more thing: I'm not a fan of cats either, so I'll need a cat-free home, too.If you're looking for a loyal, active, and handsome guy who's ready to be your one-and-only four-legged companion, I could be your perfect match!

Story
Diego is the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere he goes. This loving, affectionate boy greets staff and volunteers with nonstop tail wags, hopeful eyes, and a clear request for scratches and his all-time favorite... belly rubs. Gentle, cuddly, and full of heart, Diego truly thrives on being close to his people. He's also wonderfully easy to live with. Diego walks nicely on leash, stays calm and well-mannered in and out of his kennel, and gets along great with other dogs. Add in his goofy, playful personality and those striking green eyes, and it's hard not to fall for him.Diego would love a home that enjoys simple adventures. Think relaxed hikes, splashy time in the water, and plenty of everyday moments together. Nothing extreme, just a best friend by your side.If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion with a playful spirit and a heart full of love, Diego is ready to meet you.

Story
Meet Clark! Clark is an adorable and sweet Blue Heeler that is approximately 5 years old. He has typical dense heeler fur that he loves to have you scratch. He loves attention and can be ok with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He has been exposed to cats and will leave them alone. He is not recommended for homes with small children because he can be protective of his food, treats, and people. He is overall just a sweet, cuddly, friendly, and fun little guy once he warms up to his person / people. It will take time for him to adjust in his new home so his new people need to be patient and loving. If you are looking for an only dog to be your bestest snuggle buddy or have other dogs that are also aloof, please submit an application at forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any potential adopter must meet him here.
