Story
All puppies under 6 months are $200 and all dogs from 6 months to 6 years are $85.00 and up. The adoption fee is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run special and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee. Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. With felines, we always have an ""Adopt one, bring another one home for free"" adoption special!

Story
All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions. Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!   Let's state the obvious here: I am absolutely adorable... No ifs, ands, or buts about it! As far as everything else goes, I am a pretty simple gal. I like to eat, play, and sleep. I love cuddling, too! I really have all the qualities you could ever want in a puppy.   Looks aren't all that important to me, but if they are to you, I will fill you in on what my foster people know about me. They think I am part heeler. They're estimating me to be medium-large when grown. I am roughly 2.5 months old. I am just a baby, so I am not fully housetrained. I promise we're working on it! I am a smart girl and should have no issues catching on.  I am a little shy when I first meet you, but once I am comfortable, I come right out of my shell! Due to my mild personality, I may be better suited in a home without tiny humans. I would be willing to consider some older kids with patience and understanding! I am totally up for some furry siblings though!  I am looking for a home in which I can become the best possible dog I can be! I know I've got it in me to make someone a fantastic furry family member, I just need to be given a chance. Apply for me at ahhumanesociety.org. You can also email Halee at ahhumanesociety.org with any questions!  Please note that this is a mixed breed puppy.  There is no guarantee on breed or adult size.    T his puppy is in a foster home.  You may complete an application at https://ahhumanesociety.org/dog-adoption-application/ Contact Mary for more information maryjames@ahhumanesociety.org November 27, 2023, 6:34 pm

Story
Hello everybody, my name is Bailey. I am a special boy and I can be picky about the dogs I get along with. I do not like cats! I am good with kids over 12 years only because I get nervous around them. I get sad when I am left alone, so I would like a family that are homebodies! Come meet me at the rescue!

Meet Ace!!! He is a Australian Cattle Dog mix that loves to play, so he will need a yard to run in. Ace is good with other dogs, but NO cats. Look at those beautiful ears!!! He can NOT have blankets or soft toys to play with because he will eat them, and we all know that can be bad news. Ace has been neutered and is current on vaccinations. Bday 12/01/20.

Story
Hi! I'm a young Red Heeler. My name is Happy! I am good with other dogs and kids over 12. Never been around cats so I don't know if I am good with them or not. I am High Energy with excitement. I am leash trained but could use some work as I tend to pull a bit to get to our next adventure. I am also crate trained and mostly house trained. I just need a regular schedule and some PAWsitive reinforcement to be your perfect girl. No Health or Behavioral problems. I love to play with toys and love cuddles. I find men to be very very scary and might hide in a corner until they are gone. I just want to learn and play and grow! Looking for someone who is as excited as I am about each day and the patience to help me become the most confident ""good girl"" that I can be.
