Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 8/23/15, and pictures taken 8/4/15.  The owner died on 6/26/15 in Ben Wheeler, TX.  The mother was a Blue Heeler.  While we had the dogs at the man's house posted for the family to try to find homes for them, someone let the gate open to the dog pen, letting her mother and three siblings out, and her mother and one sibling were killed by something or someone.  Rhea was the third one that was missing, but she was found on 7/17/15, and reunited with her sister Rayna.  She can dig under a fence if she wants to, so she will need to be in a secure yard, or crated when gone.  Rhea is more social with people than Rayna, but they are both very sweet and making very good progress with us.  They both come up to me, and loves treats. Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 2/18/18, and pictures updated 5/10/20.  DEAF MALE RED HEELER PUPPY FOUND ON 1/19/18 IN TYLER, TX. A neighbor brought this little puppy to me on Friday, 1/19/18, at around 5:00 p.m., and said the puppy was traveling the road with an adult male dog that looked similar to the puppy, but the puppy came to him in his yard while the other dog kept going. I put some food down for him, and he ate like he was starving. I gave him the name Brody. On Saturday, 1/20/18, I noticed that he did not stir while sleeping no matter what the noise was. I was able to get him in to the Gresham Veterinary Hospital on Tuesday, 1/23/18, to get vaccinated, and check his inner ears since he can bark. We had a Yellow Lab years ago that was born deaf, and made noises instead of barking. The puppie's ears looked good, he weighed 10.6 pounds, and was estimated to be 10 weeks old, so date of birth is around November 14, 2017.  Brody was neutered on 2/17/18, weighed 21.6 pounds, and still growing.  As of 5/10/20, he is 93 pounds. Brody is very playful, does not like to be by himself, and will be vocal about it.  He requires a fenced yard, and another dog that can hear to guide him and play with him.  Vehicles should not be moved around him without knowing where he is, and he is not an apartment dog.  I am working on house training him, and he is doing good.  He is crate trained, and likes sleeping on a dog bed in his crate.  His fur is very soft, and he loves attention from people. Adoption fee is $80, which includes his neuter and vaccinations. March 17, 2026, 3:05 pm

Story
🐾 Meet Miles — your future adventure buddy! 🐾 Hey there! I’m Miles, and if you’re looking for fun, energy, and a whole lot of personality… I’m your guy! My story started on a quiet East Texas county road, where I waited patiently at a gate for days — through storms and everything — hoping my people would come back. They didn’t… but that just means my real family is still out there, and I can’t wait to find them! ❤️ Now let’s talk about the important stuff… ME! I’m about 1–2 years old and FULL of life. Seriously — my foster family says I’ve got some impressive parkour skills (don’t worry, I’ll give you a demo 😎). I’m athletic, playful, and always ready for the next adventure, whether that’s zooming around the yard or learning something new. I already know how to “sit” (pretty proud of that one), and I’ve got great kennel manners. I’m also doggy door trained — because convenience matters, right? I LOVE other dogs and really want a playmate who can keep up with me. If you’ve got an active pup at home, we could be the ultimate duo! I’m still figuring out cats… they’re interesting, but I’m not totally sure what to do with them yet. On a leash, I might start off a little excited (okay… very excited 😅), but I settle down once I get going. There’s just so much to see and do! Because I’m a high-energy Heeler mix, I’ll need: • A home ready for fun and activity • A dog friend (bonus points!) • A 6 ft fence for my zoomies and acrobatics At the end of the day, I’m not just all energy — I’ve got a huge heart and so much love to give. I’ve been waiting a long time for my person… maybe it’s you? I’m currently adoptable through Angel Paws Advocates in Tyler, Texas. I promise to bring the fun, the laughs, and a lifetime of love. 💙🐾

Story
Meet Bandit!Bandit is the sweetest mixed-breed boy who has been patiently waiting his whole life for his big break, and now it’s finally his turn. As the last of his litter, he grew up in the shelter watching his siblings get adopted one by one, yet he’s remained a happy, affectionate, and playful pup with so much love to give. Bandit is dog-friendly, loves exploring new places, enjoys an active lifestyle, and is especially known for giving the most enthusiastic hugs. He hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but that can be arranged, and due to his size and energy level, he would do best in a home with older kids who can keep up with his fun-loving nature. Treats are truly the way to his heart—one snack and a smile and you’ll have a loyal friend for life. Bandit is more than ready to leave shelter life behind and finally experience the warmth and security of a real family, and after being overlooked for far too long, he’s hoping you might be the one to change his story. To make an appointment to meet Bandit, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call.
