Story
Bingo is a young adult, neutered male Heeler type mix. He came to Redstone missing the lower half of his back leg from a very old injury. He underwent a formal surgical amputation and recovered very well from this. He was also heartworm positive and has completed treatment.  Through Bingo's medical care process, he has been exposed to car trips, new people, new places, and a lot of hands on interaction. He has come a very long way from the drastically undersocialized dog that first arrived, but he will need management regarding socialization as he adjusts further. He was not a feral dog coming to us and has lived in a home before, he just did not have socialization beyond that.  He requires a quiet home and would do best with someone that just needs a couch buddy. He enjoyes being out in the sun from time to time, but all he really desiers is a bed in a nice quiet place to curl up in. He is good with other dogs, but mostly chooses to keep to himself.  Bingo is crate trained and house trained. He has been neutered and treated for heartworm disease, he is on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention, he has been dewormed, he is microchipped with lifetime registration, vaccinated, and he is ready to be placed in a loving home.  Petfinder: Please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for adopton profile and application.  ##1816448##

Story
Why has this lovely boy been overlooked by so many people. Roy is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. He will always be by your side no matter what. His lifelong goal is to have a family he can be protect and love forever. Roy was found roaming the streets of Austin. No one is for sure how long he had been out. When he was found, he came running to us and jumped right in the car. This boy was ready for a new life. Roy has done very well with every dog in the rescue. He is very well mannered and loves to show off all his tricks for a small token of cheese. If you want a boy to be your best companion, please don't hesitate to reach out to us, We would love to talk with you about Roy.

Story
Ky-Odie is one of the pups from our other two red heeler's first litter a couple of years ago. He was adopted out to a family member who became unable to care for him and dumped off at our property recently. Shortly after, his mother disappeared from our property. Since then Odie and his dad have been fighting. We have to keep them separated, which is stressful for us all. Odie needs to be with a family that can give him the love and care he deserves. He would do best being the only pet in the home. He's had issues with other male dogs but doesn't seem to have any issues with female dogs. He is very energetic and often jumps up on you. Training is needed for that. He has a sweet disposition, is kennel-trained, good on a leash, is very smart, and loves to be inside with the family. When outside, even though he can easily jump the fence, he stays near the door. We hate that we're not able to keep him, but hoping that we can find his furrever family.

Story
My name is Bob! I’m a very distinguished Senior, 45 pound male Red Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog. Bob found his way to TBC when his previous owner passed away. He has settled into life here at the ranch, but we are sure he would rather be at home with a new family. Bob is a volunteer favorite. See photo with Lauren his favorite volunteer, too! Red Heelers are loyal and playful dogs make excellent family dogs, and their alertness and energy also makes them great working dogs. They are a loyal and sweet-natured dog that loves to be by their owners side. They adore human interaction and playtime and because of their high intelligence they are very focused pups.Bob has a lot to offer a family. He is so sweet and just wants to hang out with his people. In short, Bob is a VERY happy boy!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Charlie is a beautiful Red Heeler mix breed that is looking for a furever home and a fresh start to life. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He is a staff favorite and loves to walk on the leash as well. He is affectionate once he gets to know you and loyalty is his nature. He was born around September of 2015.Charlie was living with a homeless man that eventually found a place to live that did not allow dogs. Thankfully one of our supporters found out about him and brought him to us.Charlie is typical Heeler, he wants to be a family dog but tends to bond best with one man/one woman. They often do not tolerate strangers and will guard his family well. He is housetrained and prefers to live with a girl dog for best harmony. If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Finley is an adorable senior who became lost or was dumped. He is underweight at about 22 pounds, his hair covers the fact that he is quite skinny. He is a gentle boy who would make a great companion for a few years. Finley will need a dental cleaning as his teeth are covered in tartar, his coat has several old mats, and he needs lots of good food and love. He is a gentle boy who is confused as to why he ended up in a noisy shelter. If you love older dogs then you really need to meet this boy. Give us a call at 903-886-1160 to learn more, we have 3 senior needing good homes. Also check out our Facebook page at City of Commerce Animal Services.
