Story
Bingo is a young adult, neutered male Heeler type mix. He came to Redstone missing the lower half of his back leg from a very old injury. He underwent a formal surgical amputation and recovered very well from this. He was also heartworm positive and has completed treatment.  Through Bingo's medical care process, he has been exposed to car trips, new people, new places, and a lot of hands on interaction. He has come a very long way from the drastically undersocialized dog that first arrived, but he will need management regarding socialization as he adjusts further. He was not a feral dog coming to us and has lived in a home before, he just did not have socialization beyond that.  He requires a quiet home and would do best with someone that just needs a couch buddy. He enjoyes being out in the sun from time to time, but all he really desiers is a bed in a nice quiet place to curl up in. He is good with other dogs, but mostly chooses to keep to himself.  Bingo is crate trained and house trained. He has been neutered and treated for heartworm disease, he is on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention, he has been dewormed, he is microchipped with lifetime registration, vaccinated, and he is ready to be placed in a loving home.  Petfinder: Please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for adopton profile and application.  ##1816448##

Story
My name is Bob! I’m a very distinguished Senior, 45 pound male Red Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog. Bob found his way to TBC when his previous owner passed away. He has settled into life here at the ranch, but we are sure he would rather be at home with a new family. Bob is a volunteer favorite. See photo with Lauren his favorite volunteer, too! Red Heelers are loyal and playful dogs make excellent family dogs, and their alertness and energy also makes them great working dogs. They are a loyal and sweet-natured dog that loves to be by their owners side. They adore human interaction and playtime and because of their high intelligence they are very focused pups.Bob has a lot to offer a family. He is so sweet and just wants to hang out with his people. In short, Bob is a VERY happy boy!If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Charlie is a beautiful Red Heeler mix breed that is looking for a furever home and a fresh start to life. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He is a staff favorite and loves to walk on the leash as well. He is affectionate once he gets to know you and loyalty is his nature. He was born around September of 2015.Charlie was living with a homeless man that eventually found a place to live that did not allow dogs. Thankfully one of our supporters found out about him and brought him to us.Charlie is typical Heeler, he wants to be a family dog but tends to bond best with one man/one woman. They often do not tolerate strangers and will guard his family well. He is housetrained and prefers to live with a girl dog for best harmony. If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Paisley is the Mom to 7 pups that came in with social problems. Most of the pups have been rehabilitated and Paisley has made lots of progress being social. We took them to save their lives. Paisley has been easier to rehabilitate than some of the pups. Paisley is now walking on a leash and displaying her desire to be social. To the right family/home, she will be a great dog.. She still has some fears but never has had any aggression and taking a dog like this, is very rewarding to see their progress. Being in a home, makes the challenges even easier! She might be best as an only dog but we always invite a meet and greet with the whole family if you have a dog. Children over 8 is suggested. If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Miss Nollie had her photo shoot and is ready to show the world what a beauty she is! She landed in the shelter with her two sisters, Betsie and Corrie, and all three girls look very different. Corrie was adopted, and her family did a DNA test that shows 46% Australian Cattle Dog and 39% Great Pyrenees, with several other breeds each coming in at amounts from 1 - 3%. Of course, we know that canine DNA is not an exact science, plus it's possible that Nollie and Corrie have different dads. But based on her behavior, we think Heeler/Pyr is a reasonable guess. Nollie gets along well with all the dogs she has met, and she plays outside a LOT. In her visits to our vet, she has been curious about the clinic cats, but she hasn't shown any aggression or inclination to chase. So we think with the right introductions and careful supervision in the beginning of a new relationship, Nollie could probably live in peace with a cat. When we go into the chicken yard each day, Nollie is usually one of the dogs who goes with us. As with cats, she was mildly curious about the chickens at first, but even when the rooster flapped his wings and crowed loudly as he stood within her reach, Nollie didn't react at all. With almost daily visits, she has shown us that she's more interested in scavenging for chicken food/treats than in paying attention to the chickens themselves. Nollie is getting better at walking on the leash but needs more practice, as she wants to wander left to right to investigate everything she sees and smells, so she can easily get her human tangled up in the leash. She doesn't have potty accidents in the house, but it's important to note that she spends a lot of time outdoors. She sleeps in a crate at night, as that was part of her potty/house-training, and when she comes inside at the end of the day, it's just habit for her to go straight to the crate. We think that once she moves to a home where perhaps she will spend more time inside, she will just need frequent opportunities to go outside to reinforce good habits. Nollie is really a sweetheart but has TONS of energy that needs to get burned off. With the number of dogs and puppies we take care of daily, we don't have the time to take her on long walks or hikes in the woods. But we think Nollie would be a great buddy for someone who lives a very active life. Hiking. Camping. Going to the lake. Nollie LOVES playing in the kiddie pool in her play yard. She has never had the chance to visit a lake -- wouldn't you like to give her that chance?
