Story
Meet Joey — the boy who broke his own chains to find love. For three long years, this handsome Blue Heeler lived tethered to a tree on a quiet backroad in Tennessee — unseen and forgotten. Every day was the same, with no affection, no comfort, and no freedom. But one day, Joey’s spirit could take no more. He broke free and found his way to a kind woman who refused to let him suffer another day. Once surrendered, Joey’s new life began with Critter Cavalry Rescue — and what an incredible soul he has proven to be. Despite everything he’s endured, Joey is gentle, loving, and kind. He gets along beautifully with everyone — dogs, cats, children, and even farm animals. He plays nicely, sleeps beside cats, and is calm and trustworthy around little ones.  True to his Blue Heeler nature, Joey is alert, loyal, and purposeful. He loves to explore the yard, enjoy playtime, and then settle quietly at your feet when the day winds down.  Joey has blossomed in his foster home, surrounded by love for the first time — and now he’s ready for a forever family who will give him the stable, happy life he’s always deserved. If you’d like to make Joey part of your family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com for an adoption application. You’ll never regret opening your heart to this incredible boy. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  If you would like to apply to adopt Joey please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 11, 2025, 4:41 pm

Story
Duchess was born March 12, 2025 in Hampton. My roommate ended up not fixing either of his dogs, so there was a litter of nine I ended up taking care of; then my husband and I ended up keeping two. We’re first time puppy owners, and I’m the primary caretaker, but I have pretty intense back problems. Duchess is very rambunctious and highly food-motivated; she’s also very sweet and loves to snuggle. She is crate-trained, and knows a few basic commands, as well as a few others such as “gentle” and “off.” She plays pretty rough with her brother, but has shown to be respectful of other dogs’ boundaries when playing with them. My husband and I aren’t in a position to take care of two very energetic puppies. We didn’t do our research beforehand, and we definitely bit off more than we can chew.

Story
Baron was born March 12, 2025 in Hampton. My roommate ended up not fixing either of his dogs, so there was a litter of nine I ended up taking care of; then my husband and I ended up keeping two. We’re first time puppy owners, and I’m the primary caretaker, but I have pretty intense back problems. Baron is very rambunctious and highly food-motivated; he’s also very sweet and loves to snuggle. He is crate-trained, and knows a few basic commands, as well as a few others such as “gentle” and “off.” He and his sister play pretty rough, but they have not caused each other injuries. However, he is not very friendly with other dogs. The most he’s done has been bark and snap at another dog close to him, but he hasn’t given chase. My husband and I aren’t in a position to give him the training he needs. We didn’t do our research beforehand, and we definitely bit off more than we can chew. He needs a loving home with a lot of attention.
