His original owner passed away, and 8Ball was found beside his owner a few days later. He was taken in by a neighbor, who already had 2 dogs and multiple human children. After realizing that 8Ball needed more activity than they were able to provide, his rescuer's enlisted our help to find him the right home that could provide the stimulation he needs as a working breed. We have had 8Ball here with us at Woof Gang Rehab since August 26th. So far we are working on his anxious behaviors through balanced training, as well as his obedience. He is already prong and e-collar conditioned, crate trained, and knows sit, down, place, down-stay, heel, loose leash walking, spin, go to kennel, go potty, and no. We are just about ready to start generalizing his training out in public places and will post more updates about his training journey as soon as we can! Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport.
