Story
Jayla just might be the happiest girl in the shelter! She's as friendly, smart, affectionate, and beautiful as they come. Jayla LOVES playing in the pool, head rubs, booty scratches, treats, and leaning into you for more rubs. She is definitely housebroken and is great on a leash. She really enjoys nice long walks. Kayla is also very smart - she knows sit, shake, and down!!!! Did we mention she loves to play in water??? This girl has it all!! She was actually adopted from us a year ago, but was recently returned through no fault of her own. Her adopters work hours have increased and sweet Jayla wasn't getting the time and attention she deserves. Do you have time and love to share with her? Please come by and meet this wonderful girl!!!

Story
Sara comes to us from Duplin County Animal Services and as we look at her sweet face, we're still trying to figure out her breed(s). If we combine a little Corgi, a smidgeon of Australian Cattle Dog, a touch of husky, and a trace of Carolina Dog, we might be in the ballpark or we may need to go back to the drawing board! What we do know is that Sara is about 2 years old and 45 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, dewormed and will be spayed as soon as possible. She's not very large but has so much charm and charisma packed into her small frame! She has learned how to be very engaging at a young age. If you meet her, you will love her! She is eager to please her humans and enjoy the world that she has just begun to explore! Sara is gentle and affectionate, although a little shy when first meeting strangers. If you earn her trust, though, she will be loyal to the end and would love to have her own family with whom she can share life's adventures. Sara enjoys the company of other dogs and would welcome a nice fenced yard to romp and play in with her canine chums. All in all, Sara is a great companion for humans and dogs alike! Story
Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home! ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
Blue Merlin is true blue to his Blue Heeler breed traits. He is all about being in charge and knowing where he is headed in life. This 2-3 year old boy is 40 pounds and a very loyal companion once you earn his trust.  Smart dogs don’t give their hearts to just anyone.  They want an owner to be smarter and as focused in life as they are.  Blue Merlin loves to have you get that leash out and go on adventurous walks He is housebroken, fine in the house uncrated for the day and he loves running around the fenced yard and playing with other dogs and having the time of his life.  He was part of an Amish breeder colony a few months ago and they decided he was not to be a stud anymore and gave him up to a woman who is a traveling nurse who didn't have a consistent home life for him.  has been around cats and wants them to play and if they don't ....he will bark at them for sport but NEVER hurts one. The Blue Heeler breed is so very focused on their people and Merlin is totally concerned that he meet your every need for the day.  He is the perfect PAL in life.  He is all about love and getting your attention and praise.  He has lots of love waiting for the right someone and there will never be a smarter dog that you will own than Blue Merlin.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 3, 2023, 1:58 pm

Story
There are just some dogs that make you catch your breath when you look into their eyes and see their message to the world pleading for love and help.  This boy named Smurf does just that when you meet him.   This little guy is part Heeler and some sort of Terrier and is actually only 23 pounds and 9 months of age.  He will most probably be a 28 pound boy when he reaches maturity .  We found him at a very high kill shelter where his owner dropped him off saying they just didn’t have time for him with their busy schedule.  We can only imagine that as a puppy he was as stunning as he is now but small and fun for the moment.  As the moments went by and the reality of raising a puppy into a full grown, fulltime commitment became clear, this boy soon became a burden and no longer wanted.  Smurf is as sweet as he is good looking .  He can be a couch potato or he can be your running buddy on a nice day.  He is wonderful with people and other dogs too!   We are cat testing him soon and will let you know if you need that requirement.   Smurf just needs someone to show him all the good manner rules and things that will make him a really good boy.  A lot of good energy to get out daily with running and playing would be required for him and dog buddies to hang with would be fun too.  He will promise you love, loyalty, snuggles, happy face smiles, and eyes that will look into your soul.  This boy is a sweet dog and oh so handsome with his rich mahogany coloring and sprinkled freckles on his beautiful white chest.  He is a precious dog that needs to be molded and guided.  The return will be immeasurable joy and love for a lifetime.  If you are interested in this small boy please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 3, 2023, 1:58 pm

COME MEET FANCY & OUR OTHER AVAILABLE DOGS AT OUR ADOPTION EVENT AT MAKERS CRAFT BREWERY ON MAY 20TH FROM 1PM-5PM. more info: https://woofgangrehab.org/adoption-events/ Please do not call/text/email about this pet. We will only consider/respond to those who have applied for this dog on our website. Fancy was an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. She is only 10 months old. Fancy is a super sweet, loving, cuddly, and goofy girl! She is extremely intelligent and absolutely hilarious. She has a lot of energy and will need to have a job or participate in a dog sport or otherwise active home life in order to be fulfilled. In addition to her advanced obedience, Fancy already knows a bunch of super cute, and very impressive tricks. Although she does not have any behavioral issues, we will be seeking an adopter who will be willing to continue keeping up with training for Fancy and provide an active, working, or sport lifestyle to keep her stimulated due to her breed. Please read about our rescue/rules and apply to adopt Fancy at: https://shadesofbludogtraining.com/rescue/adoption-application/ View her listing page and to find out more information about Fancy: https://shadesofbludogtraining.com/available_dog/fancy/ Please follow Fancy’s training journey on Instagram: @woofgangrehab @shadesofbludogtraining

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Reece is a smart and spunky three yr old. He loves playing with toys and being with the 'pack'. In the home he is also quite laid back and a snuggle bug though he is ready for any opportunity for action. He likes people, though if startled or meeting someone new can be reactive out of uncertainty, but after the initial greeting is over he is all tail wags and an attention hog. He needs daily exercise and 'work'/play as he is a mix of an Ausie shepherd and lab. Basic obedience training is down and we are currently working on his reactivity to other dogs as well as more advanced tricks/games for him as he is very smart and needs a challenge some times. He has received training from Hampton Roads Dog Training for reactivity behavior to other dogs and as mentioned we continue to work with him there. He gets along well with my parents and grandparents dogs as he was raised with them. He will need someone who can continue to work with him through his reactive moments and offer structure.
