His original owner passed away, and 8Ball was found beside his owner a few days later. He was taken in by a neighbor, who already had 2 dogs and multiple human children. After realizing that 8Ball needed more activity than they were able to provide, his rescuer's enlisted our help to find him the right home that could provide the stimulation he needs as a working breed. We have had 8Ball here with us at Woof Gang Rehab since August 26th. So far we are working on his anxious behaviors through balanced training, as well as his obedience. He is already prong and e-collar conditioned, crate trained, and knows sit, down, place, down-stay, heel, loose leash walking, spin, go to kennel, go potty, and no. We are just about ready to start generalizing his training out in public places and will post more updates about his training journey as soon as we can! Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. Blue Tellico is a lively 15-month-old Blue Heeler boy that is smart and everything you expect in a Blue Heeler/Cattle Dog. Trained by professionals, Blue Tellico showcases impressive agility and quickness with a strong passion to spend lots of time outdoors looking for adventures and romping in the local creek and looking for squirrels to chase. Despite his energetic nature, Tellico is incredibly affectionate and adores cuddle sessions. The ideal home is a setting with space to run and explore in the woods, a creek or water source nearby for him to play in, too.  BlueTellico gets along well with other animals but isn't suited for households with young children because he tries to herd them and the current children are scared of him and his desire to round them up.  He would truly be good on a horse farm or someplace that caters to his outdoor need. Critter Cavalry Rescue is trying to help several dogs like Lyla out of a small rural shelter that is cramped and hard on the spirit of the kind of dog like Lyla.  She came to the shelter as an owner surrender forced by the animal control of the shelter.   She and her sister were being crated 24.7 just about and this was negligent and cruel.  She has been in this little shelter for almost 3 months now and her Blue Heeler spirit is just being stifled to get out and have some time to roam a yard, go for a fun run of fetch the ball or just be sleeping on a soft cozy dog bed at your feet.  It is just hard on the spirit when these dogs are stashed away and unnoticed and very little attention except to feed them.  She is 1-2 years old and 38 pounds.  Shas is mostly Heeler from what we can tell but on the darker side and she is warm and friendly but cautious too because of the confinement she has experienced.  Help us if you love the breed or love rescuing and fostering or even adopting.  She is fully vetted and ready to go!  Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   It is time to free Lyla! We are 5 1/ hrs west of VA Beach. We can transport 1/2 way for $100 or we can transport to VA Beach for $200. This will cover just my gas with today's high gas prices. You are welcome to drive to us in Mt.Airy, NC to pick up. Transport is on hold due to vehicle issues. Aggie came from a local shelter along with her pups. Aggie was surrendered because she was VERY PROTECTIVE over her puppies. The former owner had a small child in the home and she was concerned about her toddler's well being. Aggie had always been perfect with her family until her pups were born. Being a protective first time mom is ONLY NATURAL and to be expected, The shelter knew my love for heelers and they knew I would be patient with her. I have handled Aggie extensively and she is a good girl. She would be better with women verses men. She is good with other dogs and I think she would be great on a working farm. That is where she came from, a working farm. She would be best with an active person and she would not do well cooped up in a small apartment all day. SHE IS A WORKING DOG. She is crate trained. She will go to her new home current on vaccines, heartworm tested(neg), current on preventives, deworming and microchipped. She will be spayed. She will receive a complete physical and a certificate of health issued by my vet prior to going home.The adopter will get all her health records with adoption. Hi, I'm Ladybug, but my foster family calls me Lady. I'm located in the Hampton Roads part of Virginia. I am a two-year-old blue Merle Australian shepherd. With one blue eye and one brown eye. I can be a bit skittish, but who can blame me, I came from a terrible situation. When my foster family took me in, I was all skin and bones, plus I had parvo. Luckily, with some fast acting, we were able to make me all better, and I have been gaining weight. Because I was forced to live in a crate for the first two years of my life, I am not completely potty trained. My foster family has been trying to teach me, but I think I would do better with someone who has the time to solely teach me. I have a foster brother and sister, and they make it a bit difficult because they want all the treats too. I get along very well with my foster aussie siblings. It took a few days to warm up, but eventually, we were running around and play fighting all over. I love to be outside probably because I didn't really get to be outside much before. I have not been around cats, but I have been around a rabbit, and I thought she would make a tasty snack. I love my foster human siblings( 3 years old and 11 years old). we play and cuddle all the time. Did I mention how much I love to cuddle. I turn into a puddle in your lap! I would make a great heating blanket. My foster family thinks I'm just the sweetest girl despite the fact that I had such a rough beginning. I will need a lot of love and patience, especially with my potty accidents. They also laugh at my bark. They think it's the funniest thing. I love toys, but they do not survive. I also do great on a leash! If you want a sweet girl that will be a couch potato with you but also loves to be outside and watch you garden, I will be your best gal.
