Mr. Dash is like a sad movie dog with a hopeful forever story. He's a bundle of love me energy wrapped in a fuzzy package. Full of energy with a calm core. He's very receptive to guidance and extremely eager to learn how to be loves. This is literally his second chance at life, and he knows it. He's great with cats, kids, piles of puppies, and his dozen foster homies. He plays great, learned hand signals for guidance, and is extremely intelligent. Dash doesn't chew up the household goods and walks great on a leash. He would do best with a buddy because a tired dog is the greatest kind of dog. He would also be great someone active if he was an only dog. If it wasn't for rescue, he wouldn't have had a chance to know how to love and have the opportunity to meet his forever family. Dash is a gentle soul in a 'come love me' kind of way.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Dexter is a sweet fella who needs a chance with a smart owner. He loves his people fiercely, but he can be wary of strangers at first. At long as he gets to sniff without being bombarded, he is great! Dexter has learned so much while with us! He knows to sit, down, wait, out, play fetch, and walks nicely on a leash. Dexter loves other dogs and enjoys playing. He loves frisbees, tennis balls, and belly rubs. He will never pass up a good cuddle session! Dexter is a Belgian Malinois mix, meaning he does need physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him satisfied. In a home, Dexter may feel he needs to protect his person and home from outsiders. He needs someone to guide him and work with him through that. He is the most loyal boy and wants to please! We would prefer anyone that is interested in Dexter to have experience with the Belgian Malinois breed or Shepherd experience, but this is not required. He has come a long way and is now ready to be adopted..he is a perfect medium size dog with a beautiful red and white coat. His DNA was done recently and it came back that he was Australian Sheppard / Beagle / with a splash of several other dogs..He is eager to learn and just wants someone who can have patience with him to get him finished up with his basic commands...Please help Bucky find his forever home !!
