Louie is a large, sweet, shy boy. He came in as a stray from Jamestown. He entered the rescue as a dog who tried to hide in the corner. Now he waits for a volunteer to hook him up to a leash for walks. He is great on leash. He has warmed up to the volunteers at the rescue. Still a bit nervous, but very interested in other dogs. He will require a patient person to continue to bring out his personality. Being a stray, we don't know if he is housetrained or crate trained. The pictures that you see are to give you an idea of what he would look like with Louie. He is waiting for that special person.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Louie's adoption fee is $300. Story
Riley is about 7 years old. We adopted him 2.5 years ago and he has been a great dog, but he has struggled over the last year to adjust to a new baby in the house- he likes adults and older children, but the baby makes him anxious. Riley is very active and intelligent. He loves hiking and running, and is energetic outside but generally calm indoors. He listens very well. You can put food in front of him, tell him to wait, leave the room for 5 minutes, and come back to find that he has not moved. He is very affectionate and loves humans. He has lived with cats successfully. He is not destructive at all- he has never once chewed up any of our belongings and he completely house trained. Important: Riley does not like other dogs! He cannot live with them, and his humans need to be vigilant when taking him places where other dogs are present. Riley would do well with an active person/couple/family who would enjoy his intelligence and energy.

Dexter is a sweet fella who needs a chance with a smart owner. He loves his people fiercely, but he can be wary of strangers at first. At long as he gets to have a proper introduction without being bombarded, he is great! Dexter has learned so much while with us! He knows to sit, down, wait, out, play fetch, and walks nicely on a leash. Dexter loves other dogs and enjoys playing. He loves frisbees, tennis balls, and belly rubs. He will never pass up a good cuddle session! Dexter is a Belgian Malinois mix, meaning he does need physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him satisfied. In a home, Dexter may feel he needs to protect his person and home from outsiders. He needs someone to guide him and work with him through that. He is the most loyal boy and wants to please! We would prefer anyone that is interested in Dexter to have experience with the Belgian Malinois breed or Shepherd experience, but this is not required. Dexter Miny would make an incredibly loyal and loving partner in life. Please don't make Dexter wait any longer for his forever home!

Skye is a beautiful, good hearted, large border Collie mix. She loves her family and kids. She is crate trained and prefers to sleep there on her large stuffed unicorn we refer to as uni. She needs to be an only pet and she has to be separated from other animals because she tries to hurt them. We have both cats and dogs. She loves people and kids. But, we have had her four years, have had her since she was a puppy. and have not been able to stop the jumping up on people. Needs some training. We are being forced to leave our house the end of August and going to an apartment. It is not fair to her to have to stay in crate for long periods due to constraints of apartment.
