Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi!  I'm Stephen!  People say I'm probably a chihuahua/heeler mix, but I don't know what that means.  I'm having a good time at my foster home with my brother and sisters. I was taken to a shelter when I was 6 weeks old and they got me to K Kids.  Since then I've been playing with lots of dogs and people.   I like to cuddle, play, and take long naps. Of my brother and sisters, I am the roughest and toughest and LOVE to paly with the big basset mix foster who is here.  I can hold my own with her even though she's big and strong compared to me!!!  I'd really like a doggie brother or sister to play with! They think I'll be about 20-25 pounds when I grow up.  I'll probably need a decent amount of exercise and training, and I will likely bark a decent amount given my heritage.  I'm being fostered in Charlottesville, VA, and my adoption fee is $400.  My foster mom said to tell you that covers my vetting including my noo-ter, whatever that means.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
This story is from Kevins rescuer, the police officer. We got a call about a puppy being tied on a vacant properties porch and possibly someone trespassing on the property. Once I arrived on the property, no one could be located, but the puppy was tied to a porch railing and left with no food or water. I contacted John with Baker Bridge Rescue who agreed to help me, of which I was very grateful. I then secured the pup shortly after. A couple folks floating on the river were very relieved to see the dog being taken care of!. Since getting Kevin home with us, he has gained weight and found that people can be good. He is learning potty training and playing with the other dogs. He loves playing with toys. If you are interested in learning more about Kevin (puppy), please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application. Once we review it, we will call you. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.

Story
This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. This little girl is ready for her happily ever after. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption process works. Her adoption fee is $325 and if transport is necessary that is an additional $200 We are hoping to find her someone local to TN. She is a special girl who will need a special mom or dad to navigate through her fears. I may end up writing a book about her as she has given me lots of great stories.

Story
This baby and siblings were found by a passerby on the side of a street. They are a beautiful bunch of colors!! Some speckled, some merle, a couple brown and a lone black and white pup. They are very friendly and would be fine in any type of family environment. They will need the basic puppy training but will adjust to any routine given to them. They have no experience with cats so that will need to be a bridge to cross if needed. These babies are quite calm for their breed, maybe they'll grow into more energy?! They seem a little standoffish but warm up to people and they do like to play (especially with shoe laces). These are a sweet bunch of babies and all they need now is a forever family. We transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.1 1/3 old male Merle AussieDoodleGumbo is a year and a half old male Aussie doodle. He’s been a family pet and an indoor dog. He is a strong dog with an alpha personality.  He was attacked by a dog and now he would probably be best in a home as an only dog. Currently, he’s with a lot of other dogs, however when the dogs come running up to me, he perceives them as a threat and gets defensive. He may be a good personal protection dog. He does run and play in the field with five or 10 other dogs at a time and gets along with them just fine. If some of the dogs get to playing too rough, he intercedes to break them up. Again, he’s very strong, alpha dog. One on one he is super sweet, very affectionate and attention seeking. Extremely obedient with fantastic recall. He loves playing ball and hide and go seek! When he runs in the fields, I’ll go and hide behind trees and the minute he doesn’t see me comes looking. He is a lot of fun. If you’re interested, I can show you a page. I set up for potential adopters to see many videos of him. He is currently up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. This dog is located in Harrison or Arkansas with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue. They are shipped to your location via the rescue network transport. We set up a Facebook page where you can see videos of the dogs.  May 20, 2024, 9:42 am
