Story
Reyna is only 7 months old about to be 8 months on the 19th. She is deaf and is not very responsive to words but vibrations do get her attention. She is very playful but is very nippy when it comes to playing. She does have mild food aggression when she finds food she will try her best to keep it and stay away from you but may bite if your hands are in close contact with her face. She definitely needs lots of time and love, and would benefit from being trained. She's a lot of work but still a great puppy. Would prefer someone in the Newport News and Hampton Va area.If you are interested you can contact me at 757-782-0763

Story
â¤ï¸ Blue Sassy: The Dog Who Still Has So Much Love Left to Give ❤️ Sometimes a rescue story finds you, and before you know it, you’ve become part of a journey that desperately deserves a happy ending. Blue Sassy is a 9-year-old Blue Heeler who spent her entire life with one man who adored her. He raised her from a puppy, and every night she slept beside him. She wasn’t just his dog—she was his comfort, his companion, and his therapy through life’s challenges. A few months ago, her owner reached out to Critter Cavalry Rescue with a heartbreaking request. His health was failing, and he was being forced to move somewhere his beloved dogs could not follow. Through tears, he asked us to help. When Blue Sassy came into rescue, she finally received the veterinary care she hadn’t had in years. During her spay and wellness exam, we discovered she was diabetic. The untreated diabetes had also affected her eyesight, leaving her with limited vision. But here’s the remarkable thing about Blue Sassy… She doesn’t feel sorry for herself. She wakes up every day happy. She greets people with a smile. She loves to explore the yard with her nose leading the way. She loves ear scratches, belly rubs, curling up on the couch, and most of all, sitting in your lap soaking up affection. She still has all the intelligence, confidence, and personality that make Blue Heelers such incredible companions. Her foster family absolutely adores her. Blue Sassy would do best in a home with minimal stairs and easy access to the outdoors for potty breaks. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves children, and enjoys being around people. While her vision isn’t perfect, she navigates her world surprisingly well and adapts with the resilience dogs are famous for. Her diabetes is manageable with twice-daily insulin injections, given about 12 hours apart. The insulin itself is affordable, and the injections are quick and easy. Other than her diabetes, her bloodwork and health checks have been excellent. What Blue Sassy needs now isn’t pity. She needs someone who sees beyond a diagnosis and recognizes the loving, loyal, funny, affectionate dog standing right in front of them. At 9 years old, she still has plenty of life to live, plenty of cuddles to give, and plenty of memories left to make. Age is only a number, and Blue Sassy’s heart is as young as ever. Could you be the person who gives this sweet girl the next chapter she deserves? If you’d like to learn more about Blue Sassy, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com. She has already been someone’s whole world once. We’d love to find her another family to love just as deeply       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

Story
Leo is a healthy 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix looking for an active home. We adopted him as a puppy in 2017 — he's been the best dog, but our lives have changed with young kids and he deserves more time and exercise than we can give him. He's a velcro dog in the best way. Off-leash he's a star: stays close, scouts ahead on trails, checks in constantly, comes immediately when called. Fully house-trained, crate-trained, good on a leash. Smart, attentive, easy to live with.Great with kids (lives with ours) and friendly with other dogs. Heads up: he has a herding dog's natural nipping instinct. His favorite thing is chasing his blue ball — he'll do it for hours. He'd thrive with an active adult, retiree, runner, or hiker who's been wanting a working-breed companion without the puppy years.Up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, no health issues. Message us — happy to talk, share vet records, and set up a meet-and-greet.

Story
I'm a beautiful young girl who may be a little cautious when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and will become your best friend before you know it. I'm intelligent, curious, and absolutely love learning new things. I pick up new skills quickly and enjoy having my mind challenged. I'm a great passenger in the car and, after just one training session, I've already learned some basic manners. Because I'm an active, energetic girl, I'll thrive with an owner who can keep both my body and my mind engaged. I love staying busy, and when I'm given fun activities, training, or adventures, I truly shine. If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, and active companion who's ready to learn and grow with you, I just might be the perfect match!
