Story
Meet The Compass Litter !! **Looking for SEPARATE homes** We recently took in these sweet siblings from a rural outdoor shelter. It has been way too cold for young pups to be exposed to the weather. Thankfully they are here now and doing great. They are looking for indoor family homes. They are 8 weeks old and are all male. We do not know what either parent was so their breed is a guess. They appear to possibly be Australian Shepherd mix. Two have a partially docked tail. (we think they were born that way.) They will likely be medium size when full grown but could be larger. Puppies will all be given several sets of vaccines, deworming, a microchip and spay/neuter as part of their adoption. The Puppies: In first photo from left to right: West, South, East, North NORTH- 4 pounds-Normal Tail- Sweet boy that so far likes to cuddle and be held. He is starting to play more and be more active. SOUTH – 4 pounds- Short Tail- The boss of the litter. More dominant and very smart. Likes games and puzzles. EAST – 4.5 pounds-Short Tail- Loves toys and chasing his tail. He is very playful. WEST- 4 pounds- Normal Tail- Loves to play tug and wants to be with you. He will whine for your attention. **These puppies are still babies. It is likely they will have energy and personality changes as they grow up and also once separated from siblings. All the puppies love other dogs and love kids. They have been very playful and sweet with kids and dogs. They have not yet met and cats but are young enough to learn. They are so young that they have not mastered much training. They are not potty or leash trained. They did fine on the car rides we have taken them on. They have started crate training, HOWEVER they are currently in the crate with their siblings, and it’s very likely that there will be some sleepless nights in your home with crate training once they are separated. Adopting a very young puppy is like having an infant in your home. They will keep you up late and there will be a lot of messes to clean up. They have not had any trouble sharing food treats and toys. They do growl at each other over food at times but that is very common among littermates. They share well with all other dogs and people. Given the suspected breed the puppies are going to need a lot of exercise and mental playtime. Lots and lots of toys, games, walks, runs, fetch and anything active to keep them busy. If you are not prepared to offer this to your new pup several times a day, EVERY DAY, then please adopt a different dog with a lower level of energy. They may stay this energetic throughout their life if they do have Aussie in them. Read up on the breed prior to applying. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family’s lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google “littermate syndrome” so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies. Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA. (They will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com directly with questions or to get an application‼️

Story
Trey is a very special dog. We've been together since the kennel. I had them for approximately 5 years now. His birthday was this month. He's 5 years old. He's a caring, loving dog. He's very very smart. You can speak to him. He understand he's housebroken. He loves to play. He's a great watch dog. He has never bitten anybody ever, but he's very protective about the doors and windows like he knows what's going on. He's just a joy to have. He's just my heart from the fortune. My heart is bad and I can't keep him. I'm looking for a loving home for him. I'm not asking money but those who adopt them. I wouldn't have visitation privileges once a week at least for a month or two to make sure he knows that I'm still with him cuz we are in love. But he needs a home. He needs a backyard he loves to run. I can't run anymore. + + All he needs is love. He understands loves. He understand where you don't love him. He's that smart

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 30, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring. Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie, and she is from what we can tell,  a husky/ Australian Shepherd mix that defies definition in character and charm and intelligence. This girl is approximately 4-5 months old.And weighs twenty eight pounds. Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of abuse or more accurately qualified as neglect.  She was located in a very small pin that was outside with very little cover. No straw low temperatures and food thrown on the ground without a bowl and frozen water in the water bucket her owner was actually homeless and not even in the area due to illness.   We expected a very emotionally damaged girl as well as physically harmed, but that was not the case.   Our girl Kinsey is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Full of life and resilience and confidence.  She adores other dogs young children comma is fine with cats.If that is what she needs to live with.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold happy and full of smiles an energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good and good will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at critter cavalry rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. And our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a homd with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. Kinsey is a dog that will make you live with a big soul and a ready expectation to good things to happen in your life.  She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.
