At just one year old, she was surrendered by a family who loved her but could no longer provide the care she needed. She spent much of her life as an outdoor dog, and now she’s learning what it means to feel safe, seen, and truly part of a family. Because of her past, Chica can be a little timid when she finds herself in new environments or meeting new people. The world is still big and unfamiliar to her — but give her time, patience, and kindness, and you’ll see something truly special emerge. Once Chica realizes you’re a friend, her walls come down and her heart opens wide. She becomes incredibly affectionate, soaking up attention and quietly leaning into the love she’s been missing. Chica is the kind of dog who bonds deeply. She may not rush into your arms right away, but when she trusts you, it’s for life. She thrives with gentle reassurance, consistent care, and someone who understands that love doesn’t always come loud — sometimes it comes soft, slow, and sincere. When she’s feeling comfortable, Chica’s playful side shines. She enjoys a good game of fetch and takes her “bury the bone” duties very seriously — carefully hiding her treasures like a little professional. Story
Hope is a very sweet, playful 2-3 year old pup that will be a wonderful companion. Hope came to us after loosing all but one pup in her litter. We were told that she had been deprived of oxygen at one point causing some slight cognitive delays. For this reason we are noting that she is special needs. Hope is very friendly and once she gets to know other dogs or humans, bonds quickly. She has been known to sleep peacefully on a bed with her person and will make a great couch buddy. Hope is good on leash, plays in the field with other dogs, is kennel trained and fully house trained. Hope is located in Cashmere, Washington.
